Arinda Brooks is the founder and CEO of Brooks Law Firm, a Boston, Massachusetts law firm dedicated to representing immigrants, injured workers, and accident victims across the Commonwealth. Since being admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2009, Attorney Brooks has focused her career on three core practice areas: immigration law, workers' compensation, and personal injury — building a reputation as a trusted Boston attorney for clients navigating some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Raised in Alaska, Arinda developed an early passion for advocacy that would eventually lead her across the country. She earned her undergraduate degree from Southern Oregon University in 2006 before moving to Boston to pursue a legal career, earning her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Boston University School of Law in 2009. While still in law school, she began clerking at Landman Akashian, a Boston-based law firm, where she later joined as an associate attorney concentrating on workers' compensation law. For several years, she represented injured workers throughout Massachusetts, handling claims involving workplace accidents, denied benefits, and disputed compensation — experience that gave her a deep understanding of the challenges injured employees face when dealing with insurance companies and the workers' compensation system.
In 2013, drawing on this experience advocating for injured workers, Arinda founded Brooks Law Firm on the principles of justice, empathy, and community. What began as a workers' compensation practice has grown into a full-service firm also handling personal injury claims — including car accidents, slip and falls, and other accident-related injury cases — as well as immigration law matters for individuals and families across Massachusetts. Today, as CEO, Arinda oversees the firm's overall vision, growth, and commitment to client-centered legal service. Her responsibilities have shifted over the years from the courtroom to the boardroom, but her underlying mission has never changed: expanding access to high-quality legal representation for immigrants, injured workers, and underserved communities in the Boston area and throughout Massachusetts.
Under her leadership, Brooks Law Firm has placed particular emphasis on serving Massachusetts's Spanish-speaking and Brazilian Portuguese-speaking populations — communities that often face additional barriers when seeking legal help after a workplace injury, car accident, or immigration matter. The firm partners with community organizations, including the Brazilian Workers Center in Allston, to expand outreach and ensure these communities have access to legal support they can trust. Beyond client work, Arinda takes pride in mentoring the attorneys and staff at Brooks Law Firm, fostering a culture where employees are encouraged to grow professionally while staying grounded in the firm's mission. She has also worked to modernize the firm's approach to client intake and case management, with the goal of making the legal process more transparent and less intimidating for clients — many of whom are navigating the U.S. legal system, the workers' compensation claims process, or personal injury litigation for the first time.
Arinda is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Women's Bar Association of Massachusetts. She lives in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, with her son and daughter. Through Brooks Law Firm, she continues to advocate for injured workers seeking fair compensation, accident victims pursuing personal injury claims in Boston and across Massachusetts, and immigrants and their families in need of trusted immigration counsel — ensuring that every client who walks through the firm's doors is heard, empowered, and supported.
