Peter is highly skilled and a true results driven attorney. He’s personable and witty, which helped to lower my stress. His obvious knowledge of the law and creativity served me very well. He is very professional and analytical. I would recommend him without reservation.

I write to express my great appreciation for the work done by Peter Bellotti, Esq on my behalf.
I am a senior male researcher (chief scientist at a major multinational corporation) in New York. Plaintiff was known to me for decades, personally and professionally. A few years ago, the relationship became closer. She moved from Europe to take up a fellowship at a local college (in Cambridge Ma) so she could be closer to me. Almost a year later, in February, we fell out. Despite that, I recommended her for a position at my place of work (in New York).
When I visited her in Somerville in an attempt to discuss our falling out, she refused to meet with me, and instead obtained an HPO. I was not too concerned because I had no desire to be in touch with her ever again, and she was moving to Europe the next day,
But, lo and behold, she took advantage of the introductions I had made to join *my* company in Europe, and turn up at my work place in NY! In October she attends a meeting that *I* am running, and emails Peter during the meeting saying that she was going to call the police if I did not leave the room immediately, since I am in violation of the HPO!
As it turns out she did not call the police, but she had made her intentions clear. Peter immediately started the work to get me out of this bizarre and unusual situation. Many points of law were not clear. *She* had moved to my place of work in NY, and made *my* place of work her place of work. Would the stay-away-from-work clause apply? If the police were brought in, would NY laws apply or Ma? Peter studied the case carefully, discussing the many complicated, involved details of the case with me at great length. I was still tormented by the extraordinary messiness of the breakup. Peter talked to me with kindness, understanding and sympathy and really made me feel I had someone in my corner who would set this injustice right.
Peter contacted the plaintiff as well and was able to elicit from her that she was not in any danger whatsoever but merely determined to use the HPO to "take me down" a few pegs. Peter was able to use this insight effectively in court. Our case was scheduled at the end of the day. He stayed with me the whole day so he could present to the judge. He won a modification from the judge ensuring that contact required by work was permitted.
This was of great relief to me, since I only came across plaintiff at work. Thanks to Peter, the sword hanging over me at my workplace was taken away.
Eventually, at a subsequent hearing, Peter was able to argue successfully that the case should be vacated.
Throughout these eighteen months, Peter conducted himself with great professionalism and sensitivity. Not only did I feel I had someone on my side who understood the law, but also someone familiar with the judges in the case and what arguments would be effective for which judge. He listened with great sensitivity to a tale suffused with anguish and heartbreak, and really made me feel I had a friend who would fight for me.
I unreservedly recommend Peter as a counsel.

I needed to hire an attorney for my 18yr. old son for several traffic violations. Peter is an outstanding attorney who explained everything to myself and my son and never surgar coated anything just to get hired. He was honest and diligent in taking care of this matter. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a criminal lawyer.
David Yannetti, Criminal defense Attorney
Relationship: Worked together on matter
When I think of the ideal personal-injury (and wrongful-death) lawyer, I think of someone who thoroughly investigates and prepares his cases, someone who is a smart and tough negotiator, someone who ultimately combines a common-sense approach with a disarming sense of humor, and someone who backs it all up with polished trial skills. That is Attorney Peter Bellotti. There is no other lawyer I know who consistently achieves such top settlements and/or verdicts for his clients. Peter is respected across the board by insurance adjusters, defense attorneys, judges . . . and most of all, his grateful clients. He has earned a terrific reputation as one of the best lawyers in Massachusetts as a result of consistently doing things the right way during his 24 years of excellent work. I'm thrilled to be able to refer clients to him.
