RICHARD S. RAVOSA, founding partner of Ravosa Law Offices, P.C., with offices in Boston, Worcester, Springfield, Natick and Salem, has an accomplished record as a trial lawyer, negotiator, and strategist. Mr. Ravosa was one of only fifteen lawyers recognized in 2005 by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as a “Rising Star” for his achievements in representing clients with difficult legal obstacles to overcome. He has successfully tried cases, including jury and bench trials in the Superior Court, District Court, Land Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Immigration Court and the Department of Industrial Accidents.  

Mr. Ravosa received his B.A., cum laude,from Western New England College and his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He was a radio talk show host on WBNW 1120AM and WCRN 830AM where he addressed foreclosure and debt relief questions. Mr. Ravosa is also Chairman of the Massachusetts Debt Relief Foundation, Inc., an IRS approved 501(c)(3) non profit corporation and public charity which provides pro bono legal representation to chapter 7 debtors across Massachusetts.  In his free time he enjoys writing plays, fishing, sailing and traveling.

Smart, Caring, and Honorable
In my career, I have found myself frequently pursuing payment of outstanding debts through the courts. I have, therefore, worked with many attorneys throughout the country. Richard and his associate, Matthew Hamel, have been the best attorneys by far. They worked with me on my terms, allowing me to do a lot of the legwork to hold down legal costs. They were smart as heck in identifying ways to achieve my goal. Finally, they were honorable. Usually attorneys, even good ones, pad the bills. You wouldn't believe all the times that I have had to fight legal bills. With Richard's firm, that just isn't an issue. My trust in the firm is 100%. I am driving 3+ hours this week to take Richard and Matthew out to dinner as a thank you. They earned it. I will always be grateful.

Richard has helped my family and I for over 30 years. He has helped create trusts, wills and open businesses. He is very patient and a great teacher. He is reasonably priced. Overall he is excellent, and will have my family’s business for the next 30 years!

Richard and Cynthia Ravosa were absolutely great for my family in helping us with our case. They walked us through every step of the way and continue to help us if I have any questions even after the case has been closed. #1 Attorney to settle a debt
I hired Richard to negotiate a very large debt settlement and he was amazing. He got it down to only 30% of the original total! He’s relentless and a very tough negotiator. You definitely want him on your side! The other side was scared of him since he knows the law so well and has done these negotiations thousands of times. He was also very considerate and always available to answer questions, even after hours. I was so pleased I hired him for a real estate transaction. Richard and his entire firm are the top attorneys in the Boston area. I think other firms are afraid of going up against them because of their reputation for winning.

Quick bankruptcy saved our home
My husband and I contacted Richard Ravosa without any knowledge on the best way to save our home and help with our debt during his unexpected unemployment. They counseled us about our options, explained everything in detail and once we decided what we wanted to do, they executed our bankruptcy case immediately. They truly saved our home, gave us a second chance at a better life for our young family. To this day we are grateful we took a chance and called their office. Grateful for this group!
After a tumultuous year of life altering events beyond my control, I had no other choice but to file bankruptcy. It was hard for me to accept, and I had no idea what was going to happen. Maegan Hurley made my life SO much easier. She walked me through everything- she is so very thorough. I am thankful that she kept tabs on me, because I was so overwhelmed in my everyday life I would lose track easily. Maegan created a checklist for me with things to do and kept me updated often so I was never left wondering what was going on within my case. I appreciate her dedication and the fact she is open, honest, and straight to the point! Cynthia Ravosa went with me to my meeting of the trustees, and she was very nice. Highly recommended!
I was at the end of my rope. I Went through a terrible divorce that left me in debt, about to lose my home and everything I spent my life building. I’m not one to give up very easily and found Attny Richard Ravosa and team just in time! They were the answer to my worries and saving my home. The team here is professional, knowledgeable, responsive and considerate. I couldn’t have got through this mess without them. Truthfully! I feel like I wouldn’t have successfully got through this mess with any other lawyer and staff. Maegan, Cynthia, and Courtney all worked exceptionally hard on my case. If you are looking for help, trying to turn your life back around, and save your home, don’t give up! Do yourself the favor and call them! Richard Ravosa's disputes and debt expertise
I had previously retained a lawyer to help me with certain disputes regarding my mortgages. Richard Ravosa's work was far superior to my previous lawyer. He pointed out some important issues and facts that had not previously been disclosed. He negotiated a great deal for me in my dispute with the mortgage company. I recommend Richard very highly.

Finally peace of mind!!
Attorney Ravosa and Cynthia were excellent. After going through a divorce and losing my job I fell on hard times. I felt ashamed an put off filing. I had spoken with a few attorneys regarding filing, and never felt right. When I spoke with Cynthia I knew I was ready. She was very patient, compassionate and did a great job walking me through and handling the Bankruptcy. I fully recommend them and have nothing but good things to say about their practice.

The best thing I ever did was hire Richard Ravosa, He was able to solve my Bankruptcy with such proffessionalism . I was able to prolong my stay until which time I was able to find a new place. He was honest and forthcoming about my situation and was very fair on the cost. It was worth it.

100% Satisfied!
Attorney Ravosa and his team handled my case with professionalism and humanism. I really appreciate all the help and advice given and everything has turned out as promised. At first, I considered going it alone and working the process myself with random internet guidance however in hindsight, the cost of his services were a bargain when I consider that the outcome may have been entirely different without their help and it would have certainly been a lot harder without them.

I had a very good experience with Mr. Ravosa. I sent him a message asking for advice through Avvo and he called me back personally in less than 48 hours. I asked him for some advice regarding Estate planning, specifically regarding marriage and debt acquisitions. He immediately and confidently had answers for me that definitely put me at ease. He was very cordial and did not pretend to know things just to placate me (I had questions regarding specific laws in another state, an unreasonable expectation). If I ever needed more thorough representation for Estate matters, I would immediately hire him.
