Neil S Tassel

Neil was highly recommended to me by the folks over at the Gun Owner's Action League (GOAL), and they were spot on! Just out of Highschool I got in trouble for something stupid and I plead to a Misdemeanor offense. In 1993 I was able to get a FID Card and my CORI report reflected the Misdemeanor co...nviction, but I was denied an LTC. In February of 2020, my FID renewal was denied for a Felony conviction, which was actually the Misdemeanor. I tried explaining to them that I only had a Misdemeanor, but to no avail, I was rejected as a Felon. I contacted Neil who came to my local courthouse to hand search through a massive amount of records and only finding limited information on my case, not enough to clearly show the error. Because of the lack of documentation, Neil had to write a lengthy argument as to why my conviction was bogus and should be vacated, sighting 12 case law instances in support of his argument. Well, the court totally agreed with Neil's argument and dismissed my conviction, and even vacated the charges.
