Neil S Tassel

Had a good experience and a good outcome with Attorney Tassel. I put myself in a bad position regarding unlawful firearms handling that resulted in a felony charge. Neil assembled the facts and explained to the Court that the incident was a mistake that perhaps warranted some extended oversight, bu...t not a penalty. The Court decided even oversight wasn't warranted, and dismissed the charge entirely. Voting, jury duty, and other rights preserved. And I'll add that his fee was perfectly reasonable. I did some research on legal counsel options before choosing Neil and the results exceeded my expectations.

I was charged with improper storage of a firearm in Worcester MA and Neil helped me every step of the way. He gave me invaluable advice before I even hired him, and asked a very reasonable fee when it came time to represent me at the Clerk Magistrate hearing. He knocked it out of the park at this h...earing and the charges stayed there, and now I will be able to get my LTC back. Very grateful for Neils professionalism and extensive knowledge of MA law. He was very interested in my case from the beginning and demonstrated the highest levels of professionalism during our preliminary conversations, without requesting unreasonable compensation for the initia...l consultation. Once the case moved forward to petition, I was in constant contact with Atty. Tassel with regular updates. Do not be discouraged - Atty. Tassel is a busy man, and your case is not the only one. I expected as such to not have immediate responses but this did not impede the consistency of our interactions. Additionally, you must work for what result you seek to have. It is not a solo effort - Atty. Tassel will emphasize the importance of providing as much evidence as possible to build a viable, solid, and effective argument for the case. It was important to recognize the cohesion between client and counsel as it was impossible to go about this alone. While I respect the polite verbal fencing that takes place in the courtroom, I will heed you to not expect a fiery discourse as seen in the movies. Atty. Tassel will not speak based on emotion, focus on the facts and evidence presented, and deliver a worthy argument based on his professional, demonstrated experience in the field of LTCs and Second Amendment litigation. While I was confident in his abilities, any experience in court is daunting to say the least - many a time I doubted my result to yield in my favor. It is a 50/50 shot every time; although honesty, faith in God, and confidence in true Justice are expectations to have when working with Atty. Tassel.

I was charged with Indecent Assault and Battery and Neil handled my case for over a year after taking it over from another attorney. The case has now been resolved successfully in the best possible way it could have given what Neil had to work with. Neil was extremely professional, he was alway...s easy to reach and he took the time to explore many details of the case and spend a lot of time on it. On several occasions he went above and beyond what was needed. For example, I told him about an effect a conviction might have on a trade license I have and Neil proactively looked up specifics of our disposition & showed me how I could keep my job. Neil has a ton of knowledge and was always willing to answer my questions in painstaking detail. I took a very active role in my defense and asked Neil about many possibilities for defense, even far fetched ones. He took the time to objectively and fairly explain all options. When I switched from the previous lawyer I did a lot of research and spoke to other lawyers. Neil was the clear best choice for my defense and I'm glad I chose him as my counsel. Neil not only defended me and got the outcome I specifically told him I could live with, he got an even more favorable outcome than we had hoped... knowing what I learned about this type of charge it went as well as it could have possibly realistically. The previous lawyer made several errors and Neil was able to mitigate this damage. Had I only worked with Neil from day one I would probably have an even better outcome. Neil worked miracles in my case and I believe he genuinely cares about defendants. I also believe he would not ever be judgmental to any defendant and would give them the most rigorous defense he could. I also believe Neil is extremely ethical - I suggested one course of action once during the case which was legal but because it had even a slight ethical question Neil said he wouldn't participate. He was very fair about billing and fees and I can tell that he will do the right thing. I don't think Neil would ever bend the rules for anyone but he will fight very hard and exhaust all legal means in existence for your defense without judgement. He will support exactly what you tell him. If I had it to do over again I would have trusted him more, asked less questions and given him even more information. Neil also is at the perfect place in his career where he has a long time of really significant experience but is still young and energetic. I can't recommend Neil highly enough. If you are facing a serious criminal matter I don't think there is a better choice.
