Jeff Lustick took care of two cases for me. The first case was completley dismissed and the second case went to trial and came back with a not guilty verdict. I couldn't have dreamed of better results. Jeff explained things to me in a way that I could understand, told me what he thought the outcome would be and what he said happened. Jeff was always completly honest with me a real straight shooter. There are not enough stars in the sky to give Jeff Lustick a proper rating. He is a first class attorney all the way, his staff are very warm and friendly people and always made me feel comfortable. I will recomend him to everyone.

If it weren't for the team at the Lustick Law Firm, I would have had to spend a long time behind bars. I am very grateful for his efforts and he delivered everything that he promised, We went over any and all possibilities and really was able to think outside the box with regards to my case.

The State fought hard to try to have full penalties given to me due to prior convictions, but I walked away with probation and my record will be not have a smudge on it as well. He also was priced very reasonably and worked out a payment plan for me as well.

I was pulled over for a DUI and driving with a suspended license. The initial offer from the prosecution had me sweating bullets. He informed me of my options and then we went to work. He was very helpful in telling me exactly what steps I needed to take to help him out with the prosecuter to get a reduced charge. By the time the case was resolved, I was thrilled with the result. The lesser charge was dismissed and the DUI was reduced, saving me lots of time and money. He knows how to get good results.

I was arrested in January 2011 after being accused of rummaging through an apartment and waking the inhabitants up. I was charged with residential burglary (felony)+mip, with a possible sentence of up to nine months. Jeff helped lower my charges to criminal tresspassing (misdemeanor)+mip, which I am doing a week of community service for. After 18 months I will have a clean record again. Thank you Jeff.

Jeff if the kind of attorney who gives you faith in his profession. I have never met an attorney who is more professional, knowledgable, and a true expert in his field and who has a SOLID track record of doing what is BEST for his clients. He speaks it as it is, doesnt candy coat and understands the law better than his peers and MOST judges. He is very well respected by his peers as well the judges. I have known Jeff for years and have continued to use him for any legal matter as well refer him on a continuous basis to every single person i know who so much as gets a speeding ticket. Jeff wont hesitate to be totally honest with you about your situation and easily will allow for someone to leave who he does not feel will benefit his services.

Jeff Lustick is an amazing lawyer. He was one of several lawyers I was considering to handle my case. He was more expensive then many of them, but he was the only one that actually believed that I was innocent. He knew exactly who was who in the court system, and he knew exactly how to handle things. Being charged with a crime is traumatic. The police came to my home and arrested me based on a bogus story. I am an older man who was looking after a woman who was seemingly normal, but actually was mentally challenged. I did not live with her, did not even live in the same country with her, but I paid her rent and drove across the border from Canada everyday to look after her meals, drive her around to see the countryside, etc. She was a 6-time convicted felon who was trying to change her life, and she was making real progress with my assistance. When I met her, she had no ID, no Social Security card, no food stamps, no welfare assistance, no health coverage, nothing. I helped her obtain all of those things. And she had stopped her life of crime.

Anyway, her mental state began to deteriorate, and she started to leave messages, almost daily messages, on my phone threatening to kill me, kill my son, and kill my granddaughter. One day after the worst of those threats, while I was driving her around, she again threatened to kill me, and I responded by giving her a hard shove. She spit in my face, then I punched her. She spit in my face again, and I hit her again. Two spits in my face, two punches in response. I wish I had infinite patience, but there comes a point where I've had enough and will not let my life be threatened without a response. A witness saw the shove. Another witness saw me hit her (but did not notice her spits in my face), and called the police.

The police came, inspected her, and found no injuries: I am an older man who has had a stroke, not Mike Tyson in his prime. She was physically fine and did not want to press charges. But I was arrested and charged with assault. I had no prior history of anything. Considering the ongoing threats I had been subjected to, her history of violent acts (6 convictions for stabbing people), and the immediate provocation of threatening to kill me, I thought the state would drop the charges against me. Wrong I was. Even after seeing a transcript of the chilling threats made against me and my family that were left on my voicemail in the last week, even on the day before, the prosecutor was determined to convict me of assault. And he would not budge.

Enter Jeffrey Lustick. Jeffrey researched the law and came to the conclusion that I would lose the case if we presented my defense in the context of the threats that I outlined above. A jury might be sympathetic, but would convict me all the same. But he saw another defense: consent. That sounded preposterous to me at first, but the more I thought about it, the more I could see what he was thinking. She was a woman who had spent many years in prison and was used to a violent environment. The fact that she had 3 prior convictions for domestic assault strengthened that point. It actually turned her on when I hit her. I had not thought about it, but I think Jeffrey had hit upon a truth. She was not hurt when I hit her, it actually increased her respect for me and made her want to have makeup sex. In that sense, she actually consented to being hit, it was part of the relationship in her view. And lo and behold, when Jeffrey presented that defense to the prosecutor in his office, and told him he would lose the case if he took it to trial, the prosecutor thought about it -- and days later decided to dismiss the case. Jeffrey was frank with me about what he saw as a poor defense, and he came up with a better one that actually had the ring of truth to it. I was impressed with Jeffrey's thinking, and even more impressed with his ability to present the case convincingly to the prosecutor before trial and persuade him to drop the charges.

I learned that, in the law of today, a man cannot strike back even against someone who is actively threatening his life. While I can now see that technically I might have committed assault in the law if narrowly interpreted, convicting me of assault would have been an affront to common sense, given my peaceful history, the total context of the murderous threats I faced, and the little damage I did. Jeff did a great job defending me when I was charged with DUI in 2004 in Skagit County. We won as well in Thursten County but when the prosecuter appealed the district courts decision the case was overturned and I defended myself with Jeff's help for free. I was granted an appeal and the case went to the State Supreme Court and the appeal was denied. So the case was remanded back to the district court. So I have to start all over again.

I was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI). Scared as heck! Never had a criminal charge in my life. My family was supportive, but my job was at risk. I needed to hire an attorney. I hired Jeffrey to defend me on a rape case. Before I did, I spoke with several other lawyers in town all of whom told me to make a plea deal and prepare to go to prison. On 05/30/07 I was on my way home from work when my wife called and asked me to join her and a friend for a couple of beers. It was about 11:30 p.m. when I arrived at the bar. I had only a couple of beers and we left the bar at 1:30 and were heading down Lakeway in Bellingham, WA.. I was doing 40 in a 25 and I spotted a police car parked under the over pass but it was too late. Before I knew it there were lights in my rearview mirror. I pulled over and the officer asked where I had been. I advised that we were coming home from a bar. The officer asked if I had anything to drink and I admitted that I had two beers. The officer asked me to step out of the car for some tests. After the tests the officer asked me to do a Breathalyzer and advised that I wanted to speak to an attorney before I did. At the time I felt very alone and did not know what to do. I got to the station and spoke with a public defender for about 15 min and he adv me what to do. I truly did not know if I should listen to him. He sounded tired and I just didn’t feel like he had my best interest. I took the Breathalyzer and blew a .084 the first time and a .087 on the second. I had told the officers that I wanted to do a blood draw to test the blood alcohol, so they released me at the hospital. My wife went home in a taxi and had all the money so I could not get the blood draw.
So I am at the hospital in the early hours of the a.m. not knowing what to do and had an arraignment the next day. I remember a friend at work literally had a stack of about 40 speeding tickets and I had asked him why he was not in jail, he smiled and said that I have the best attorney in town that has got me out of everyone of the tickets. So I decided to call my friend and get his attorneys number. He advised that the name of the attorney is Jeff Lustick and gave me his number. Well with my arraignment just hours away I call the Lustick Law Firm before hours and explained my situation. Mr. Lustick's assistant called me after they opened and had me come in for an appointment at 11 a.m. . I was so nervous not knowing what to expect. Everyone from my friend to his assistant said that I was in great hands. Well went into his office and sat down. Jeff Lustick started off by saying “I am not here to say that you are innocent or guilty I am here to make the law work for you.” That was like a breath of fresh air and put me at ease. Jeff Lustick was very upfront and explained the best and worst scenarios and the approach he was going to take. Jeff explains things in a very comprehensive way and he is very personable, he also explained what would happen if I went in without legal help. He advised that he would meet me at 2 p.m. for my arraignment; this was on the same day that I called him. Jeff also advised what my rights were getting pulled over and let me know what to say. A few weeks later before my trial date I had another meeting with Mr. Lustick and he advised that he found some mistakes in the police report and advised that he got the prosecuting attorney to reduce the charge to a negligent driving one. That was I believe two steps lower than the original DUI.
The way that Jeff Lustick handles himself in the courtroom can be described as charismatic, prepared, confident and aggressive. Jeff is always first to show and therefore the first to go up before the Judge, Jeff is very respectful to the judges always asking to be excused when leaving. And it is obvious he is respected as well.
It was time to have a hearing with the DMV over the phone and this time it was with Alexander Ransom, he advised that I could lose my license for up to 3 months. The hearing started and again there was another error found and I walked out of the phone hearing with my license.
