Description: Client charged with dealing 4 kilos of cocaine to undercover police. Hired a different lawyer, who talked him into pleading guilty and accepting a 25-year prison sentence. Client hired me to investigate and litigate a post-conviction habeas action. Trial judge recommended that his plea be withdrawn, his conviction vacated, and that he receive a new trial. Court of Criminal Appeals (in Austin) agreed and ordered a new trial.
