Mr. Carl Ceder is an exemplary attorney. He worked very well with the prosecution in my case, resulting in the charges being dropped. Do not judge a book by its cover. When my family hired Mr. Ceder and he came to see me in jail I was disappointed. I later told my husband "Are you serious? That kid must of just got out of law school!" ...I was in jail for Aggervated assult with a deadly weapon. Which is a second degree felony. Its a big deal when you are already on parole with a 20 year sentence for an Aggervated case. With the help of that "kid" my case didn't even make it to court. It was NO BILLED by the grand jury. He is very intellegent. That only took 24 days! He moves fast. Then I had to face parole. He did not show up to my Preliminary Hearing. I think a judge made him appear at the last minute on another case. It was not his fault, but I was so upset. Looking back I wish I would of waived that hearing and went straight to my Revocation hearing. It would of saved me a month in jail. I advised other girls in jail to do that and they left before I did. He did show up to my Revocation Hearing and did an excellent job. I'm so thankful my family hired him. He told me from day one, "Melinka you are going home, and you will be with your children again." And he was right. I always thought he was too quiet and calm to be an attorney. Honestly, if you are in jail, that's what you need. Somebody that is calm, collect and always thinking/analyzing ways to get your freedom back. (Proverbs 17:27 The smart person says very little, and one with understanding stays calm.) He was my Guardian Angel, let him be yours too.

I was in it pretty deep when I met Carl. I had no where to turn and no help in sight. I was facing false allegations and could not fight them on my own. Carl came in and started to work as soon as I retained him. He called me shortly after I retained him to tell me that the firm he worked for was wanting to drop me due to my money issues and Carl stepped up and walked away from this firm. If you find yourself facing a DWI charge, look no further than Carl David Ceder. Don’t let his younger appearance or four years practicing give you the false impression that he might not be as experienced as somebody else. That is simply not the case.

Trust me when I say that I interviewed about 15 different lawyers before deciding who to hire for my particular case, including most of the top ranked DWI defense attorneys in the DFW area found on this very website, some who had been practicing law for 30 years or longer. I got a ticket for possession of drug paraphernalia and completely freaked out; I literally watched as everything I had worked so hard to achieve vanished before my eyes as that cop wrote the ticket. After being wrongfully arrested and subsequently charged with a crime I didn't commit - Carl David Ceder was the first attorney I contacted. He quickly arrived at the jail and took care of everything and I was released about an hour or so later without having to post bond. Even though he didn't normally handle my type of case I was impressed with his responsiveness, courtesy, understanding and professionalism. I met Carl in October on a Sunday @ Starbucks for about two hours, 30 minutes of me telling him what i needed from him on my case, 90 minutes of us getting to know each other. I was in Dallas for the birth of my first grandaughter, he texted me several times each day checking on my daughter who delivered on Tuesday, he has texted me from day one at least two times a week about the South Texas Border crime and weather where I live, and always about my grandaughter, as if we were the best of friends, once in awhile he would assure me that he would handle my case the best he could and not for me to worry. We communicated by text and emails, I forgot he would be in court at times, and I would send him text messages, he would always reply or ask could he text me in a minute. I sent him a picture of my Grandaughter in December, I went to court in April and within minutes before court, he showed me the picture that i sent him still in his phone, and then told me the deal he worked out in court, I knew i was walking into that court room with some one that was agressive, experienced, and representing a friend. I had another attorney before I met Carl. Before even taking on my case, he spoke with me on the phone for more than an hour and really helped me decide what to do with my case. Carl has been very personable, professional, helpful and honest throughout my case. He never promised anything he couldn't do. Carl was a fantastic lawyer. The first lawyer I had I never spoke directly to. I always got their secretary whenever I called, when ever they called me it was some other lawyer. Whenever I called Carl I spoke with him directly, any email or text was answered immeadately. He was always calling or emailing me to tell me how my case was going. Also the outcome was better then I could ever have expected. I had a terrible case, and ended off with a little slap on the wrist.

Carl is a cerebral attorney. From the start, my experience with Carl has been very comforting. He can pick a great jury if needed, negotiate with prosecution, and ultimately win the case while keeping you in the loop throughout and discussing options as well as make recommendations. Carl poked holes in the prosecution's case, was very through in his cross and always treated the judge/jury etc. with the utmost respect.
