Description: Plaintiff was struck by an intoxicated motorist in the course of his employment with the Illinois Department of Transportation. In addition to a recovery under workers compensation, a civil lawsuit was pursued against the defendant, driver. Plaintiff sustained lumber herniations and underwent conservative medical treatment. Approximately two months of lost time from work. After Mr. Gonzalez returned to work (with no restrictions) the civil case was resolved for the mid-six figures.
