Joshua Schiffer makes his career on Ben Franklin’s adage regarding “Doing Well by Doing Good.” Raised in Cobb County by Drs. Dan and Gail Schiffer and attending The Walker School put Josh (“Mr. Schiffer is my Dad, I’m just Josh) on an path to New England where hegraduated from Clark University.
After Georgia State University's College of Law, Josh came back to Cobb County where he clerked for a Superior Court Judge. After being exposed to the finest trial lawyers in Atlanta, Josh cut his teeth by representing anyone and everyone as a senior indigent defense trial attorney. In this position Josh trained dozens of lawyers on advanced trial techniques, organized the operation of the State All Purpose Courts, was lead counsel in thousands of hearings, trials, pleas and other court actions….. and fought with Doug Chanco. Now his Partner.
In 2007 Josh graduatd from the prestigious Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College in Duboise, WY. Influenced by the people he met and what he learned at “The Ranch,” Josh quit working for the State, started a lawfirm, quit drinking, had a kid, expanded his practice, won the biggest victories of his career, spoke and taught at more events, became dedicated to representing ONLY INDIVIDUALS and has never stopped in his search for personal justice.
Josh now concentrates his practice on issues of Domestic Violence, Personal Injury and Victims Rights. This allows him to take on a wide variety of personal issues such as the 2nd amendment, crime victim’s compensation, premises liability, wrongful accusations, abuses of the legal process/system, children’s issues as well as any kind of violent crime.

Joshua is an outstanding attorney and one I endorse whole-heartedly. He is incredibly knowledgeable of the law and masterful in oral arguments. Always a delightful colleague who is more than willing to go above and beyond to lend a helping hand. His willingness to collaborate and provide substantive advice is one reason he is among one of the most respected attorneys in the community. Joshua is visibly empathetic and caring with his clients; and a tireless advocate for fair and just outcomes. Based on my experiences with Mr. Schiffer he would certainly be my lawyer if I were to find myself in unfortunate circumstances.

Josh came highly recommended to represent a family member on several very serious traffic violations in Cobb County. The matter just concluded with a negotiated plea wherein the most serious charges were dropped or severely reduced. Incredible. The result was beyond my expectations and the family member is thrilled with the outcome. Josh is a very smart, careful lawyer and a fun guy as well. I highly recommend him.
