When I needed a divorce attorney I did not know who to contact. I searched for someone in my area of town and Melody Swilling’s firm appeared. I was immediately contacted after making an online inquiry which impressed me. Within a couple days I had a consultation with Melody and during that conversation I knew I would hire her for my divorce. She and her staff were very thorough and answered all my many questions. I was able to obtain my divorce within a few months. I would recommend this firm.

Melody was always prepared and ready to answer my many questions. My divorce didn’t start off contentious, however from the very beginning she prepared me mentally that it probably would go in that direction, she was right, unfortunately it did. No matter how trying or unbearable things got, Melody and her team walked me through the very difficult divorce process and assured me that every concern I had she would address and offer advice based on my best interest. There aren't enough words to express how thankful I am for Melody Swilling and her fantastic representation on my case! Melody not only won my case, but she also won several concessions that acknowledged the frivolous nature of my case. I am so thankful for Melody Swilling. She gave me my life back!

Melody is not only a superior attorney, She and the members of her firm have a unique ability to “connect the dots” between the client, the disputes and the family legal quagmire. My divorce, while unique and emotional, was navigated by Melody and her staff with vigor, expertise and they provided a necessary calming effect. She listened and understood what things were very important and fought to get them for me. I was in a very tough case. Not a strong position to say the least. Melody was a very strong advocate for me, and never wavered. I went to Hait, Eichelzer & Kuhn to file for divorce. At first I just wanted counsel about divorce and the process. I met with Lizz Kuhn in the beginning of the process then Melody Swilling stepped in as Lizz had a baby. She was able to come into the process as if I had been working with her the whole time. Melody was always very friendly and professional. She helped me with Mediation and in the final court hearing following through till the divorce was final. Melody was very knowledgeable and during the mediation process she really looked out for me and what was best for the children. She drafted the settlement papers and was very through. She was available to make changes as needed until a final settlement had been reached. She put me at ease during the final hearing and was able to make last minute changes that day. I left the process feeling protected and am not worried about my future concerning the divorce as everything was spelled out in the settlement agreement. I am very grateful to this law firm. I have and will recommend Melody.

I retained Hait, Eichelzer & Kuhn to handle my divorce. It was a very good expierence. I was very pleased with the instant response to questions by phone or emails. It took longer than I anticipated to settle, but I was told up front that it could take about a year. It was at no fault of theirs, between the Sheriff's office dropping the ball at the beginning, the oppossing council taking all kinds of time off for one reason or another and various other delay tactics, we stood strong and reached a settlement. I met Melody at my free consultation. She urged me to try and talk things out with my then husband, and to let her know if i wanted to proceed. I was greatfull for her honesty. She headed up my medieation and was very strong. I was very Pleased with the outcome. I was very comfortable with their invoicing policy. After the initial retainer I was only billed for the work completed each month. My bill was higher than I expected, but again, that was due to the oppossing council's motions, phone calls and emails. Their are circumstances that you do not have any control of. I found Melody to be very aware of all phases of my case. Melody and the entire office are very honest and friendly. I will use Hait, Eichelzer & Kuhn again if need be.

My lawyer failed to work on my case correctly. All she did was charge me a bunch of money. I ended up having to fire her from my case and then still had the nerve to tell me I still owed her money! She refused to give me both my binders back (of the evidence that she asked for and did NOT use at all). I do not recommend her as your lawyer!!

This supposed professional woman is not very professional. She does not seem to communicate well and intimidates easily leaving a client questioning her actions and competencey.

Very bad experience. I had to hire another attorney to get a resolution in my case. I spent over 10 months and have a bill in excess of $16,000 with this firm with no end in sight. My new attorney was able to get my case in front of a judge and a decision within 6wks! Do not make the mistake I made and hire this firm, HAIT, Eichelzer, and Kuhn. Make sure you check references from other clients before you hire anyone!!
