Description: Sean Williams was killed in a freak accident in the course and scope of his employment. At the time of the accident, he was not living with his wife. One of the factors necessary to establish benefits for a widow is that the decedent lived with his spouse at the time of the accident or substantially contributed to her support. I successfully demonstrated to the court (at the trial and appellate level) that although circumstances lead to the decedent living elsewhere, he still spent significant time with his spouse and he did substantially contribute to her support.
