I hired Janell to file a Trademark application for my new business a few years ago. She was very expensive but an acquaintance recommended her. The trademark process is long but when it wasn’t progressing to the next phase as it should have I called USPTO myself. I spoke with a representative to s...ee what was causing the delay. The representative informed me that the wrong codes were put on the application. I contacted Janell to tell her what the correct code should have been. She fixed the application without apologies and then sent me a bill for her time. I decided to let it go at the time because I was too busy to fight with her and I thought I wouldn’t have to deal with her again. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. 7 years later she sent me a bill for letting me know the trademark is up for renewal. I decided I wasn’t going to let her get away with it again so I got another attorney to help me deal with her. She is very unprofessional, and her business practices are suspect.
