Same-Sex Surrogacy and Pre-Birth Order

Description: Retained by male couple for representation in starting a family with the use of an anonymous egg donor and a gestational surrogate carrier. After successfully putting in place a gestational surrogacy agreement outlining the rights, obligations, and intentions of the parties, Vaughn-Martel Law successfully obtained pre-birth orders from the Court ordering the hospital to report the male couple on the children's birth certificates as the children's legal parents. Unique factors in obtaining pre-birth orders included the use of anonymous egg donor and the fact that the gestational surrogate was carrying "twins" - each the product of the anonymous egg donor and one of the father's sperm.
