Worst experience ever

I hired this woman a few years back for a family law issue, which involved my disabiled daughter constatnly being abused by her father, his family, & the daycare they sent her to. After picking my daughter you from her father, she was clearly under server emotional distress. After contacting the chil...d abuse hotline & taking her to Urgent care, I made sure to reach out to miss Summer to advise her. We brefily discussed otions aval. to save my daughter, & decided to file an immediate danger report. This chuick not only had me do all the work, but had the audicity to NOT appear in court. When I finally asked for any & all documents she had filed under my case, she flipped out, did a complete 360 & became a whole other person. Was agressive, rude, disrespectful. etc.. Funny thing, I've YET TO RECEIVE MY FILES. Which btw are suppose to be kept for 10 years. However she's refused to send mine. SHE HAD NO PROBLEM MAKING SURE TO NOT REFUSE MY MONEY, considering I did all the work for her, she simply continued talking about her daughter, never about my case, showed zero intrest or empathy towards the unfortunate and severe repeated abuse that my than infant less than one year old disabled child was receiving. so in essence unless you want to become a lawyer yourself and pay someone for you to do all of their work I wouldn't suggest that you have any dealings with her good luck on that homefront though.

Unhelpful

Inexperienced and detrimental to my custody case. She didnt defend me to the extent that she could have or should have. After reviewing findings in case with attorneys since I was originally represented by Mrs. Summer there was found to be multiple instances that she should have objected on my behalf... and not allowed my ex husbands attorney to violate my rights during my questioning on the stand. Modest means unfortunately gives truth to the statement "get what you pay for"

Miranda took amazing care of me from beginning to end. Even during occasional and intermittent moments of intense freak out, panic or distress, she talked me down and reassured me throughout the toughest experience of my life, one that I almost didn't survive. I found her by accidental happenstance d...uring the immediate and chaotic aftermath of my marriage falling apart, but I can't imagine i would've been better cared for and about by anyone else, even at more than twice the fee, which I briefly considered with this other attorney who an attorney friend of mine had previously recommended. He was much older, too, the other attorney, and I think catered to people with a lot more wealth than little-old-lapsed-poet-turned-corporate-schill-creative-director-me. In the end, the divorce settlement isn't 100% pain free (I mean, how could it be, after 28 years of marriage and my making more than twice what she does; hence, lapsed-poet etc.), but after my home refinance, it's literally almost a wash, which is pretty incredible. Like, the difference between what I had been paying in mortgage to what I will be paying now, is my alimony plus $300 a month. Are you kidding me? That's just straight up crae. I feel like I should throw in a pretty massive disclaimer here now: YOUR RESULTS MAY VARY. Hey /r/divorce, I've finally got something to say to you all that might cheer some of you up. If I ever decide to get married again, Miranda will be my first phone call. This text box is saying I've still got 2,580 characters left, but I'm gonna stop here. Thanks Miranda, for seeing me safely through to my second life.
