Matt Walker represented me for 3 misdemeanor DV charges in Jefferson County. He heard my case and told me not to take the plea deal. With his help my case was Dismissed before trial. Matt was there to walk me through every step. If I needed him he was always just a text away and would call as soo...n as he was available. He suggested to meet as the trial got closer, not to go over anything but to calm my nerves as this was my first time in any sort of trouble. He never made me feel rushed and listened to all concerns. He is also a huge LGBTQ advocate which for my case was essential. I can’t recommend Matt enough and will forever be thankful for him and know if I ever needed counsel again he’s there.

When I came to this website I was devastated and stuck in a long and bad marriage. I posted my question and a few lawyers answered. Mr. Walker’s answer was so thorough and understanding that I called him right away. We talked more than an hour on the phone and I hired him right there and then. After ...that mostly I was in touch with him via text. Of course I was impatient to get the case started and move on. But I didn’t get the same compassion after the first phone call. The more impatient I got the more cold and unfriendly he got. Long story short, after more than a month my case wasn’t even filed and I was nowhere. When you are stuck in a bad marriage, everyday living with your spouse is torture. At the end I didn’t feel confident and trusting toward my attorney and that is not a good way to go on a legal battle. I had to find someone else to work with me. At the end for the work that wasn’t by all means even started he charged me for 3 hours of his service. Although the money is an issue but the process of my case was so much more important to me. My current attorney filed my case in the first hour of our meeting! If you can wait months or a year for your legal case to get done Mr. Walker could be a good fit for you. He wasn’t the right fit for my case.

I called Matt about a dispute with my neighbor who had mailed me a letter threatening legl action. Matt met me for coffee the same day I called him. When we met, he reviewed my letter and other documentation. Then he actually called the neighbor on my behalf, while I sat there, and worked everything ...out. It was amazing. When I offered to pay Matt for his time--he pointed out that he had only spent about thirty minutes to resolve my issue--so no charge. Matt is real and Matt is awesome.
