Evan T. L. Hughes

Hye buddy, Remember me? Well, I certainly remember you. I hired Evan Hughes for an extremely serious case because he promised to be aggressive and proactive from day one. He told me about his PI that was a retired FBI agent of 25 years and how he would get to work immediately on my case to ensure it ...never left the detectives desk. In fact, I was lulled into a false sense of security because of his nonchalant attitude assuring me how the accusations were utterly baseless. He also told me how he is from Philly and new all the "players" and a lot of cops who could point him to the detective on the case. He assured me he would get ahead of the accusations and the likelihood of it making past the detective's desk was minuscule. "Cops in Philly have real cases they don't have time for this nonsense and your file is probably collecting dust on a desk somewhere" Turns out none of the above was remotely accurate. Evan disappeared on me after he was paid and as a result, evidence and witnesses were lost directly affecting the investigation and causing charges to be made. Even after that, I gave Evan every opportunity to right the ship. I met with him the day before I turned myself in and we went over the bail hearing. He told me a bunch of nonsense about how quickly I would be released, how he would lower my bail or even possibly get me out without posting one. In my state of panic and desperation, I swallowed the nonsense hook-line-and-sinker. My ignorance of the system was apparent, and he exploited it readily. He never came to my bail hearing in fact, when I was released 26 hours later, I went to his office to find it empty, and when I called him, he was on his way back from VA Beach. A massive slap in the face. The next day I requested my case file only to get 1 document emailed to me. Within three days I found new counsel and terminated Evan and the difference as astonishing. I should have known when I walked in the police department, and the LT said: "I never seen an attorney turn in a client looking like he's about to go to a beach party." I knew I had a problem. Hey, Evan, I didn't forget. There something called Rules of Conduct and Ethics for Attorneys. I am sure you are aware of them. If not, you soon will be. Now you can jump on and tell people how my memory is fuzzy and how I am misrepresenting what really happened. It's ok. I can just as easily post YOUR email and leave it at that. People can make up their own minds. Trust me, probably better you take the bad review and move on.

Just looking at these reviews I must side with all the good reviews I hired him for my son with an Escape charge from a rehab he was in as a sentence, this rehab was a disgrace! and first I gotta say my son was placed in a facility when he was arrested where he got jumped Mr Hughes had him moved im...mediately and his charge was withdrawn now Im patiently waiting for him to wrap up the rest of this...he is good for sure! For all of you that say nad things your wrong Ive seen him work.

Mr. Hughes handled a complex fraud and theft case for me. The case involved multiple jurisdictions and bail was a nightmare. I was facing jail time and Mr. Hughes kept me out of jail and got me fines and probation on a very serious case. If you can afford him, he is the best. They also have offices... in NYC which was very helpful.

Mr Hughes represented me in a very serious case, in which I was potentially facing jail time for multiple drug related charges in which I was wrongfully accused of. Evan worked tirelessly to ensure I was treated fairly and helped me get my life back on track. At the time I saw my life crumbling and w...as very unsure if I would be able to overcome such a life changing incident. I was not only facing some serious felony drug charges but I was also dismissed from College for the violation. Evan was there for my family and I throughout every step of the way. Not only was Evan able to have ALL of the charges dropped but he was also able to get me back into school the following semester. Currently Evan is helping me with the expungement process and thanks to him I am now able to put this incident behind me. Mr. Hughes is a true "Super Lawyer" and lifesaver, my family and I can not thank him enough for his guidance and support and most importantly for allowing me to be where I am today. Because of Evan I was able to finish my degree, avoid jail time and continue with my life. I highly recommend Mr. Hughes for anyone who is facing any serious criminal charges.
