DO NOT HIRE THIS SCAM ARTIST !

I hired Evan to help me with a PCRA it cost me almost 15k he never showed up to any hearing till the last one then withdrew manipulating me to agree and the promise of doing a habeas corpus which never happened, he never answered phone calls or called back, he lies about everything biggest scam artis...t Lawyer the used cars salesman of lawyers in Phila his bar should be revoked

He literally wasted my money & time. was always late for court & barely picked up the phone during the whole court process, he didn’t have a care in the world about the out come of the case he didn’t absolutely nothing to help my case …. Horrible & unaware.

i hired Evan TL hughes and not ounce did he show to any of my court cases he pushed back the preliminary hearing 3x and the court pushed back the preliminary hearing 3x...never did he step foot in a court house all 6x i was present.i never received a discovery and thier was no investigation on his en...d. I paid Attorney Evan T.L Hughes in full. This is your life don't waste it hire a better attorney. Seriously. Your life is important hire someone who feels the same.

WARNING Seek help elsewhere

Hye buddy, Remember me? Well, I certainly remember you. I hired Evan Hughes for an extremely serious case because he promised to be aggressive and proactive from day one. He told me about his PI that was a retired FBI agent of 25 years and how he would get to work immediately on my case to ensure it ...never left the detectives desk. In fact, I was lulled into a false sense of security because of his nonchalant attitude assuring me how the accusations were utterly baseless. He also told me how he is from Philly and new all the "players" and a lot of cops who could point him to the detective on the case. He assured me he would get ahead of the accusations and the likelihood of it making past the detective's desk was minuscule. "Cops in Philly have real cases they don't have time for this nonsense and your file is probably collecting dust on a desk somewhere" Turns out none of the above was remotely accurate. Evan disappeared on me after he was paid and as a result, evidence and witnesses were lost directly affecting the investigation and causing charges to be made. Even after that, I gave Evan every opportunity to right the ship. I met with him the day before I turned myself in and we went over the bail hearing. He told me a bunch of nonsense about how quickly I would be released, how he would lower my bail or even possibly get me out without posting one. In my state of panic and desperation, I swallowed the nonsense hook-line-and-sinker. My ignorance of the system was apparent, and he exploited it readily. He never came to my bail hearing in fact, when I was released 26 hours later, I went to his office to find it empty, and when I called him, he was on his way back from VA Beach. A massive slap in the face. The next day I requested my case file only to get 1 document emailed to me. Within three days I found new counsel and terminated Evan and the difference as astonishing. I should have known when I walked in the police department, and the LT said: "I never seen an attorney turn in a client looking like he's about to go to a beach party." I knew I had a problem. Hey, Evan, I didn't forget. There something called Rules of Conduct and Ethics for Attorneys. I am sure you are aware of them. If not, you soon will be. Now you can jump on and tell people how my memory is fuzzy and how I am misrepresenting what really happened. It's ok. I can just as easily post YOUR email and leave it at that. People can make up their own minds. Trust me, probably better you take the bad review and move on.
