Doug Green and Debbie---- You Folks are miracle workers. I want to thank you both very much for the support you gave me through the whole process. Debbie you gave me the support to keep me calm and provided me all the essentials whenever I had questions for the court or Doug. You were very sweet and easy to work with. You knew I was disgusted with myself and desperate but you kept my head in the game. Doug---YOU’RE THE MAN I can’t believe it---you were so mythological in your case study of mine---- I am still amazed. If someone takes the time to really look at a case as you did mine----with your background in DUI Cases---you are a winner----you kept telling me ---we don’t need to move yet and you really wanted to analyze every aspect of the case against me before the court date. You wanted me to wait. I hated it, because it was dragging on and I wanted to get this thing over with---I thought I was gone and done for---I felt like crap. Doug gave me the confidence of knowing ---nothing was going to happen to me without him telling me. That was reassuring at least. But then he went to work! And what he found out was mind-blowing to me because I never would have thought I had these particular rights as a citizen. The police have to follow certain policies as well. You picked apart the case policies and eventually made it impossible for the prosecutor to prosecute me on the DUI Charges. (A simple checklist to be followed and check marked as completed by the officer and for the officer to watch me for 16-20 mins before BAC testing) Because of these disregards of process---If it went to trial the machine readings would have been thrown out. -----Inconclusive street testing from the officer---(because I have essential tremors ---which is the shakes------ It was tough for him to perform such test) ---It would of stood up in court as inconclusive. Plus along with my refusal to say anything to the officer when arrested---(Which was a help to me) The prosecutor had to drop the Charge. Remember I was looking at a 3rd strike rule----It would of been a loss of License forever---Lots of Money----A serious amount of Jail Time and everything else that goes with DUI ---The Victims Panel---Assessment charges---Treatment Center Charges---Probation Charges—and fines of the court. Doug Green of The Reynolds Defense Firm came through for me. You never know what rights you have in this type of situation---you’re not supposed too---you don’t plan on getting trouble---let alone driving under the influence. I’ve been through the courts before and even I knew I was in trouble. The Reynolds Firm and Doug to me felt different---Right after my initial phone call. I could tell these Professionals have been there and they also know how the system works--- They know what’s supposed to happen ---down to the Law ---and my rights after an arrest. If you find yourself in trouble call these Professionals. They are the best in town at what they do. They take a team approach and discuss with each other once a week on your case--- Whatever trouble you find yourself into they will be honest with you up front. They will analyze every detail and I mean every detail about your case because that’s where the flaws are and mistakes made. Believe me they do. It happens more than you think. Doug loves working for his clients to achieve the best results whether that means trial or negotiation. Even before attending law school, Doug wanted to be a trial lawyer. He gained an immense amount of experience trying cases working for the state's largest criminal defense contractor, Metropolitan Public Defender for over four years. During that time he handled almost every kind of case from minor misdemeanors, and traffic offenses including DUIIs all the way up to the most serious Ballot Measure 11 offenses. He tried all kinds of cases from DUIIs and other misdemeanors to robberies and other serious felonies to both juries and judges. He also handled juvenile Ballot Measure 11 or other serious juvenile cases.

After leaving Metropolitan Public Defenders, Doug worked for over three years as a civil litigator handling personal injury cases all over Oregon and Washington for one or the largest litigation firms in the Pacific Northwest. This included litigating, arbitrating, and mediating negligence cases from automobile accidents and slip and falls to more complex apartment building fires and bad faith claims. At Reynolds Defense Firm, Doug focused on helping good people facing DUI charges in Portland and throughout the state of Oregon & SW Washington.

When he is not trying cases, Doug enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and two children. He also loves to travel and cook. Doug enjoys listening to music, seeing live bands and playing basketball with friends. Before attending law school, Doug owned his own business and worked as a cook, waiter, and bartender at several local establishments.

Helpful and responsive

Doug took time to answer questions about my case and never made me feel rushed. When he couldn't answer a question of mine, he quickly and effectively researched the answer.

Great experience all around

Doug has been so helpful through this entire ordeal. He's been willing and able to answer any of my questions with knowledgeable and easy to understand answers. I feel like he's taken the time to understand myself and my case, which is comforting for me knowing that I'm seen as a human being and not just another file on his desk. Although the outcome is yet to be determined, I feel confident that I have the best chance possible with the attorney I have.

Very Understanding During a difficult Time

Gave me my life back.

I had spent a year (and some) of my life dealing with my homeowners insurance company over a water loss claim. I had initially tried to handle my claim on my own, believing that my insurance company would be there for me, "I was paying for an insurance policy for this type of protection, so of course they will be there when we need them, right?" WRONG! I initially called a former attorney whom I had used during a family matter and was told "you probably will not need any legal representation for something like this". Trusting this advice, it all went down hill from there until I was referred to Doug by a friend of mine who has worked in a law office for over 20 years. My first meeting with Doug and Edie (Edie is another attorney with this firm and I would also highly recommend, they make a good team together, a great balance) Doug provided me with a huge amount of knowledge that I would have never known or been told from my insurance company. Doug is quiet and calm, he has a strong sense of piece about him which is very calming. Doug took the time to listen to my concerns and worries. He explained all of my different outcomes good and bad and allowed me the time and respect to make informed decisions regarding my case. Doug was very patient with me, explaining step by step what was happening and explaining it to me without all of the "legal terminology" so that I could understand it. Being on a very limited budget, I was not nickeled and dimmed with tons of wasteful calls or emails which was a huge financial help as well as receiving help that he could have easily charged me for but did not. I am very greatful for all of the help and support I received from Doug and his firm and would highly recommend him for your legal matters.

Career Saving Miracle!

Doug Green worked a miracle for me with a low speed fender bender that resulted in a citation that would have ended the career I have been working towards in college before it started and made me un-insurable to drive! Having been told that there was no way to get diversion for my citation and exhausting every option I had began to lose all hope of keeping this off my driving record. As a last resort my father spoke to me about the lawyer option which I had really hoped to avoid. My father knew Doug through a mutual acquaintance and referred me to him. We met and had a sit down to discuss my options and after that talk it still didn't look good. Legally I didn't have much of a case other than a shiny clean driving record. It took several months and much effort for both of us, but in the end Doug worked a miracle and got me a special deal that resulted in my driving recorded remaining untarnished. Doug is an amazing attorney and I would highly recommend him for any law related needs!

Hire an effective lawyer

Doug came highly recommended by other attorneys at a law firm that I worked with in the past to provide expert witness testimony. My son was cited in a minor rear end collision while returning from an overnight shift on an ambulance as part of his EMT training. Our insurance company and others we consulted advised us that the citation was overly severe and highly unusual in their experience. They advised getting an attorney. We were told that the citation would also have a very negative effect on my son's insurability and on his ability to be hired as an EMT, a very likely waste of 2 years of training. We felt certain that when they heard the circumstances that the officer or municipal court would modify the citation, however it quickly became clear that without legal representation we would get no where. Doug advised us to do what we could on our own and when that did not work he stepped in to act on my son's behalf. His effective representation and negotiations resulted in a satisfactory resolution of the matter with the court, without the overly severe consequences my son faced. We greatly appreciated Doug's approach and knowledge. He was very pleasant to work with and we would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family.

A good solid lawyer

When it became apparent that our daughter would suffer minor but long-term difficulties as a result of her auto accident, we hired Doug to help us get a settlement from insurance. He listened well, asked questions, made sure he thoroughly understood our case, and laid out our options regarding making a demand, going to arbitration, and so on. He was willing to communicate in whatever form was best for us, and meet wherever was best for us. From the start he explained that the wheels of justice turn slowly; while we found that to be true, we were also pleased that Doug kept us informed, explained what was happening step by step, and made a compelling argument to the insurance company resulting in a fair settlement that was worth the wait. We have already recommended Doug to one friend and won't hesitate to recommend him again.

Consumate Professional

I was initially hesitant to hire an attorney for my automobile accident thinking that I could settle the matter out of court. After attempting to negotiate a fair settlement it was apparent that this would not be possible. Doug put me at ease with the entire process and took the time to educate me each step of the way. Doug's time lines were extremely accurate. He never over promised and definitely over delivered. He kept me in the loop and made this whole arduous legal process actually pain free!
