About Douglas
Biography
Doug loves working for his clients to achieve the best results whether that means trial or negotiation. Even before attending law school, Doug wanted to be a trial lawyer. He gained an immense amount of experience trying cases working for the state's largest criminal defense contractor, Metropolitan Public Defender for over four years. During that time he handled almost every kind of case from minor misdemeanors, and traffic offenses including DUIIs all the way up to the most serious Ballot Measure 11 offenses. He tried all kinds of cases from DUIIs and other misdemeanors to robberies and other serious felonies to both juries and judges. He also handled juvenile Ballot Measure 11 or other serious juvenile cases.
After leaving Metropolitan Public Defenders, Doug worked for over three years as a civil litigator handling personal injury cases all over Oregon and Washington for one or the largest litigation firms in the Pacific Northwest. This included litigating, arbitrating, and mediating negligence cases from automobile accidents and slip and falls to more complex apartment building fires and bad faith claims. At Reynolds Defense Firm, Doug focused on helping good people facing DUI charges in Portland and throughout the state of Oregon & SW Washington.
When he is not trying cases, Doug enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and two children. He also loves to travel and cook. Doug enjoys listening to music, seeing live bands and playing basketball with friends. Before attending law school, Doug owned his own business and worked as a cook, waiter, and bartender at several local establishments.
