Jeremy J Bishop

I hired Mr. Bishop for help with a mediation for a parenting plan that my ex and I no longer agreed to. I live in another state (my daughter was born there, and her dad lives there, all of our court documents have to be done in WA). I was very concerned about hiring an unknown lawyer that I would n...ot get a chance to meet. I am so thankful that he was recommended to me. Right from the start, Mr. Bishop listened to my concerns, and fears about the case, and made me very comfortable. He never made me feel like I was taking up to much of his time with my concerns, and always answered my questions quickly and honestly. He did not make empty promises, and always told me what he thought would happen, even if it was not the outcome I wanted. He also worked with me on the child support hearings, and the outcome for the parenting plan and child support was very satisfying to me. I would recommend him to anyone looking to hire a family law attorney who cares about his clients! I will hire him in the future, if the need arises.

Jeremy handled my divorce case in 2010. He was very knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. Going through a divorce is hard, and Jeremy was able to answer all of my questions and give me advice. He also returned all of my calls promptly which is very hard to find these days. About twice a ye...ar I have a quick question about my parental plan or our divorce situation, and he always promptly eases my concerns. More importantly, Jeremy kept the process quick and simple, which avoided any stress on either party during the divorce. My former spouse and I maintain a relationship for the sake of our child, and it makes our day to day life much easier. I have also referred friends and family to Jeremy for Wills and Estate planning, and he has completed the projects quick, and at a fair price.

Jeremy Bishop is an up and comming lawyer in this community. He is committed to helping in ways that go beyond the scope of practice. He refered me to a financial counselor and a personal counselor as I struggled through a very painful and confusing divorce. I can not say enough about this person ...and recommend him without reservation. I fired my previous lawer because she followed a cookbook and did not consider the things unique to my divorce. She fed me to the wolves. Jeremy was a breath of freash air. I felt he was on my side throughout the proceedings

I was suddenly served a notice to appear - my ex-husband was filing for 50/50 Custody of our two girls. The thought of such an arrangement was frightful since the girls had resided with me a majority of their life - 12 years. Luckily I chose to call Roach Law office and was assigned Jeremy Bishop a...s my attorney. From our very first meeting Jeremy was concise in his direction and what he felt were the best options I should go ahead with. He was very quick at following up with any issues discussed in our meetings. I usually had a response that same day. When it came time to argue our case to the Judge – Jeremy was amazing! He was able to recite my history, key facts as to why 50/50 was not the best option for the children, and recite quotes from the Ex’s testimony that proved it was not the best choice – and this was all with no notes!! The judge agreed with Jeremy in that 50/50 was not the best choice. With a lot of help from Jeremy’s assistant I was able to get a revised parenting plan that the ex agreed with. She also, was very responsive and followed up with any questions I may have had. I would strongly suggest that anyone needing a Family Law Attorney to choose Jeremy Bishop.

I almost feel guilty writing this review as Jeremy took my case on when he was already full and did a solid job for me. I was impressed with him as a lawyer and can see why he comes so highly recommended by clients and colleagues alike. If I could keep communication between him and I alone I’d use hi...m again if need be. Unfortunately that’s not the way it works. I did not care for his assistant and some of the other staff at times. She was short with me and consistently rude, as I felt on multiple occasions as though I was being talked down to, constantly interrupted and talked over, and as though I was an inconvenience when I had questions or needed an explanation. She was also conveniently out of the office often which was frustrating as she was the only person designated to speak with me as a client of Jeremy’s. To have a job representing a lawyer, or working with people and FOR people, you’d think staff members would be more kind, helpful, and overall pleasant, but unfortunately it just wasn’t the case in my experience, and for that reason I wouldn’t return to this firm even though I did like Jeremy.
