Jeremy handled my divorce. On my first visit to him, he advised me that in the present circumstance we could not really afford to get divorced. This prompted me to change my circumstances and then I returned and hired him. He was excellent! He is very principled and honest. I also found him to be... very responsible with costs. He does not drive costs up unnecessarily. He was also very swift to respond to serious issues, even when he was on vacation. The divorce process is confusing and upsetting, and I wish that he had been a little more clear on a few things (or his expectations of a few things) but in the end it worked out well. I would hire him again and recommend him without reservation. It's rare to find a lawyer with as much integrity as he has.

Mr. Bishop made a potentially disastrous time in life into an efficient, matter-of-fact end to a challenging marriage. He was neither intimidating to me nor to my ex-spouse (something the opposing lawyer seemed to be well versed with practicing ). Jeremy gave me financial advice (and my case was comp...lex) as well as guidance in regard to child custody that helped facilitate a rapid agreement. When he didn't know the answer to a financial query, he referred me to someone more well versed in the area. He could have done the job, but would have taken longer and thus cost me more. I was surprised and grateful to find that the last billable hour of my case coincided with the last dollar in my account. Mr. Bishop was kind, fair, knowledgeable on facts in a complicated case and reasonable in regard to price. His assistant was friendly, concerned, always available, easy to work with and competent. My original impression was that Mr. Bishop was too young to be effective against my husband, who is adept at confrontation and manipulation. I was rapidly proven wrong. My ex had requested a child support modification where she wanted almost 3x's what I was already paying and was way more then she needed! The state had already reviewed both of our incomes and expenses and had decided to double my child support, which I thought wasn't right either. I was in complete ...agreement that I should pay more but it still needed to be fair. At my consultation while reviewing the paperwork Jeremy noticed that the state did not take into accountability that I have another 2 biological children with my wife that I obviously help support and adding my other 2 children to the paperwork calculation should have lowered my child support amount to where is should have been. Not to mention that he told me that because I had been current on my child support payments for years I should have been claiming my child on my taxes every other year, I had no idea I could do this! My wife and I decided to hire Jeremy to get the child support payments where it needed to be, as hiring him would save us Lots of money in the long run and it did. Jeremy and his assistant Lindsey were always in communication with us about everything, it was great. They e-mailed or called us every time something new was going on and to keep us in the loop about what my ex , her attorney and the state wanted to do. And they didn't nickel and dime us every time they called, emailed or sent us something. In fact they only charged us for his time in court, with the other attorney or doing paperwork. Most attorneys I've ever dealt with charged me every time we spoke or emailed so it was so nice to get my bills and see that they were not doing this. By the time everything was done Jeremy got the child support payment amount EXACTLY where he said it should be when we first met at my first Consultation! My family and I are very happy with all the work that Jeremy and Lindsey did. I would hire him again in a heart beat and will recommend him in the future to anyone looking for a great attorney!
