Lots of Integrity

Jeremy handled my divorce. On my first visit to him, he advised me that in the present circumstance we could not really afford to get divorced. This prompted me to change my circumstances and then I returned and hired him. He was excellent! He is very principled and honest. I also found him to be... very responsible with costs. He does not drive costs up unnecessarily. He was also very swift to respond to serious issues, even when he was on vacation. The divorce process is confusing and upsetting, and I wish that he had been a little more clear on a few things (or his expectations of a few things) but in the end it worked out well. I would hire him again and recommend him without reservation. It's rare to find a lawyer with as much integrity as he has.

Reasonable, honest, fair - and tough when needed

I've used Jeremy for divorce and post-secondary support. I sought his counsel through the divorce and was very happy with the quality and timeliness of his services. The post-secondary support action was considerably more difficult and contentious: hostile opposition who left the state and took ...a job paying less than half of what her current job paid after being served. Jeremy was very reasonable and focused on my needs. I was consistently impressed at how he worked my requests into the process. In court, there were a number of claims made by the opposition that Jeremy skillfully defended. I was also impressed at his conduct during those hearings: patient, focused, thoughtful, and respectful. When the time came to stand up and push back he held his ground and kept the focus on the issue. Rates were very reasonable and I felt that Jeremy and his team charged appropriately. There are probably cheaper lawyers out there, but after more than a few trips to court, I can't recommend any of them based on what I saw. After 22 months of zero payment by my son's mother, and with Jeremy's help (plus some good work from WA Department of Child Support working across state lines) I've received two deposits. Too many lawyers are quick to endorse a course of action that increases their fees without any real hope of a payout. Jeremy will tell you the facts and rules and focuses on helping you achieve the most positive outcome. That's the highest praise I can offer a lawyer.

Highly recommended

Mr. Bishop made a potentially disastrous time in life into an efficient, matter-of-fact end to a challenging marriage. He was neither intimidating to me nor to my ex-spouse (something the opposing lawyer seemed to be well versed with practicing ). Jeremy gave me financial advice (and my case was comp...lex) as well as guidance in regard to child custody that helped facilitate a rapid agreement. When he didn't know the answer to a financial query, he referred me to someone more well versed in the area. He could have done the job, but would have taken longer and thus cost me more. I was surprised and grateful to find that the last billable hour of my case coincided with the last dollar in my account. Mr. Bishop was kind, fair, knowledgeable on facts in a complicated case and reasonable in regard to price. His assistant was friendly, concerned, always available, easy to work with and competent. My original impression was that Mr. Bishop was too young to be effective against my husband, who is adept at confrontation and manipulation. I was rapidly proven wrong. I would recommend him to any friend and am appreciative for his expertise.

Trustworthy and Knowledgeable

Jeremy handled my divorce case in 2010. He was very knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. Going through a divorce is hard, and Jeremy was able to answer all of my questions and give me advice. He also returned all of my calls promptly which is very hard to find these days. About twice a ye...ar I have a quick question about my parental plan or our divorce situation, and he always promptly eases my concerns. More importantly, Jeremy kept the process quick and simple, which avoided any stress on either party during the divorce. My former spouse and I maintain a relationship for the sake of our child, and it makes our day to day life much easier. I have also referred friends and family to Jeremy for Wills and Estate planning, and he has completed the projects quick, and at a fair price.

lawer with integrity. He cares about his clients. He is kind and listens

Jeremy Bishop is an up and comming lawyer in this community. He is committed to helping in ways that go beyond the scope of practice. He refered me to a financial counselor and a personal counselor as I struggled through a very painful and confusing divorce. I can not say enough about this person ...and recommend him without reservation. I fired my previous lawer because she followed a cookbook and did not consider the things unique to my divorce. She fed me to the wolves. Jeremy was a breath of freash air. I felt he was on my side throughout the proceedings

I wholeheartedly endorse Jeremy because I have practiced law for almost 40 years now and I've been around good lawyers, mediocre and bad lawyers. Jeremy is definitely a very good attorney. He is a hard worker, he's very bright and he brings common sense to the cases he's involved with. I have no hesitation recomming him to anyone. He will work hard to get a good result for your legal matter."
