I would only recommend Matthew Dudley if you want to win in Family Court. In May of 2020, I found myself in the unenviable position of needing to file for non-parental custody of my 7 year old grandson after circumstances necessitated that he come live with me. My household is somewhat non-traditiona...l, as I am single and disabled, so you can imagine my concern when I found myself filing for custody. I called Mr. Dudley specifically for trial based upon reviews I read on lawyers' ratings websites like this one, and he did not disappoint. He returned my call the next day, and I hired him. True to the reviews I read, Mr. Dudley did not just tell me what I wanted to hear about our case. He was forward and to the point about case details, and never wasted my time. He kept me in the loop as to what he was doing with the case. He saved me from having to re-file by accelerating the trial date, as new rules that I was not aware of took effect in 2021. Last but not least, he was an absolute bulldog in court. He had a commanding presence during trial that showed me he had done his homework. Matthew Dudley was a consummate professional from start to finish. We got everything we asked for, including full custody. My grandson is safe with me.

Matthew Dudley has represented me on and off in a parenting case over the past few years and I am so grateful for his help as there is no one else I’d rather have represent me! If anyone has anything negative to say about him, it’s because they were the ones going up against him and hate how powerles...s they are against him. My ex was even frustrated because he couldn’t find an attorney willing to take his case after the attorneys figured out they had to go up against Matthew. He also does not just tell you what you want to hear. He tells you like it is and there aren’t any surprises when it comes time to for your hearing. (Aside from the fact that I was totally stunned by how Matthew practically runs the show in the courtroom and is CLEARLY the most powerful voice.) My point is, that if you hire Matthew, you won’t be disappointed one bit. It also doesn’t hurt that his rates are more than likely the best you’ll find as well. Just don’t let you ex hire him before you do!

After hiring 2 other attorneys he was the last and the best. In about a 5-year span I had spent thousands of dollars with other law firm and yielded absolutely no results. He cares for his clients in a manner i had not experienced with other law firms. I cringe at the thought of being on the opposite end of the courtroom when Mr Dudley is present. He knows the law meticulously and gives 100% to his clients. He is the only family law attorney in Spokane that I can wholeheartedly recommend to any friends and family that should need his service.

There is no better family law lawyer. My divorce was as nasty as they get. My ex and his parents had multiple filings in the wrong counties... my in laws tried to take custody of my kids, that was thrown out. My in-laws then put their unlimited money into fighting for their son to get full custody, a...fter a year and half they lost. Matt knows his stuff & he knows it good. Be honest with him, no lying or he’ll put you in your place real quick. Do what your supposed to do & he will do what he does best, WIN. He does the most for the least, no outrageous over billing. Matt Dudley & his wife are amazing, definitely who you want fighting for you not against you.

I retained Matthew Dudley after many people spoke very highly of him and his capabilities. I was not disappointed. He took a very difficult situation and walked me through the process and made me feel more comfortable along the way and put many of my fears to rest. Matthew is more than prepared in an...y court room setting and always ahead of the game in preparing for the unknowns. He never backs down and fights like a pit bull for what you need. Matthew was always available for any worries I had and addressed them in a very timely manner. He was very clear and concise on what he need from me, as well as what to expect. Matthew was also very quick to forward me any documents we would need in the court room as well as request documents that were needed.
