Great Lawyer, highly recommended!!

Matt helped me with my parenting plan as well as my child support case. My case seemed easy at first but going through everything seemed a little much so I hired Matt. Matt helped explain everything to me while fighting for what was needed. He was patient and to the point and I felt he understood... and listened to what I needed. I would recommend Matt for any Family Law need and would hire him again in a second.

Definitely worth the money!!!

I had to hire Matthew because I was served papers from my ex. She was wanting to take me to the cleaners. She wanted to take my daughter and make it so I had very little time with her and for me to pay child support. Matthew did an awesome job right from the start. He got me a temporary parenting pla...n with 50/50 custody and zero child support and that lasted about 12 months. He did everything for me and sent me everything he got from the courts, keeping me updated all the time. He is a very direct and to the point guy. But he is a very nice guy too. We ended up going to trial over a year later because my ex couldn't get her stuff together and kept this case open for a long time. But we went to trial lasting two days and Matthew did an excellent job and he definitely knows what he is doing. He got me still 50/50 custody and I ended up having to pay some some child support. But that's ok I feel that WE WON! If i didn't have Matthew on my side I would have got nothing close to what he got me. I would refer him to any body I know. Family, friends, or just anyone that wants a awesome attorney. He is worth every penny. Money well spent. Matthew Dudley is definitely the guy you want representing you in your case.

Rude

Mr. Dudley handled a family custody issue with me awhile back and I was very disappointed with his service. I was warned prior to retaining him that he was a handle full, but that he was really aggressive and that all he does is family law. I needed someone aggressive so i took the risk. It didn't p...ay off. I have to agree with some of the other comments, trying to communicate with him was really frustrating. I wasn't looking for someone to hold my hand and baby me through the process and do like his straight forward approach, but he does it in a really rude way. I also was left guessing what was happening and got responses that didn't address all my questions. I'm left wondering how many times he billed me for asking the same question through email. He is very rude to other lawyers and is not well liked. I felt uncomfortable and embarrassed many times I was completely unfamiliar with family law and the process and matt just had a way of making me feel stupid. I started crying in his office once because I couldn't answer his questions fast enough, but I told him I was crying because i was scared of my husband. He snapped his fingers at me and had this disgusted or impatient look on his face when communicating with him. He just made me really uncomfortable and I'm a pretty meek person. I got the courage to talk to him about it, which takes a lot for me, and he basically told to go find another attorney. I also had an issue with him saying he would do something and get back to you and then he never did. I went on to get another lawyer finally and am glad I did as I have the child support I need and the appropriate parenting plan. I liked not guessing what was going on and getting a response to my questions, as well as not feeling nervous because I wasn't answering questions fast enough. Buyer beware

Knew I was making a bad decision

You can expect matt to do a good job in court. He is professional, well spoken, aggressive, and seems to be truly interested in his clients best interests. Outside of court is pretty much completely different. This guy doesn't appear to understand what customer service means, or just chose to provide... me with bad customer service for some reason, and trying to communicate with him will prove to be very annoying. He responds to emails rarely answering all questions and his aggressive demeanor will likely be experienced in his interactions with you. Just not very personable. If you're expecting advice or direction from a lawyer, this is not your guy. You will do most of the work and figure things out yourself. He on the other hand will file paper work, and appear at hearings. He did make an effort to check in with me in regards to major issues, but this didn't make up for the all the negative. His office is a complete mess and indicates he is very busy. He also failed to inform me about a hearing with the Division of Child Support and missed the hearing himself which resulted in a negative outcome. Supposedly he is one of the busiest family law attorney's in Spokane, which is not a good thing if you're someone looking for good customer service and representation. He's cheap, but you get what you pay for. I represented myself prior to retaining him and fail to see how he did anything that I couldn't have easily done myself with a little effort. He'll save you time, but that's the best thing I can say about his service. Spend your money elsewhere. I just expected more out of an attorney.
