Matthew J Dudley

I hired Matthew to represent me in a very difficult divorce. The opposing party was particularly uncooperative, and Matthew really had to tolerate a good bit of challenging behavior. Matthew is a lawyer, not a mental health counselor, and he practices law very capably. He didn't waste my time or reso...urces with unnecessary activities, though he did periodically check in with me by phone to ensure that I was "ok" during this process. He got me better results than I had even hoped for, protecting my assets and ensuring I was not encumbered by debts for which I was not responsible. Matthew is very much down to business and straight to the point, and he was respectful of my preference to not take advantage of, or bulldoze, the opposing party. I very much appreciate that Matthew is available outside of regular business hours, because his willingness to meet with me during evenings and weekends kept me from wasting a lot of vacation time at work. I highly recommend Matthew if you want streamlined, no-nonsense legal representation with positive results!

Never have I worked with a more pragmatic individual, nor someone as adept in their field of practice as Matthew Dudley. Our case stagnated in the family court system for a very long time, and I needed an attorney to help navigate the intricacies of our case. Mr. Dudley was recommended to me by a...n acquaintance who described him as a bulldog, and as someone you'd hope to avoid arguing against at trial. He's not the first attorney I had a consultation with, but he's the only one I'd recommend. Early on in our case, I recognized a trend among some family law attorneys. Too much effort was spent trying to protect their working relationships with fellow attorneys, gravitating toward appeasement rather than trying to accomplish what your family wants/needs. But that's not Matthew Dudley. If you have a case, this guy will unabashedly lean into any conflict and bring it to resolution. He's effectively engineered a process to help more clients than (what I believe to be) a normal amount for an attorney in Spokane. Court dates and the ensuing conflict used to be the most stressful thing about my life, and hiring this guy offered a new experience. Listening to the man argue your case is a marvel to behold. Attorneys are paid by the hour, and this guy's ethics don't allow him to run up your bill trying to coddle your ego, talk about your day, or commiserate about how awful your ex-spouse has been lately. He wants to help your family, and does a fantastic job. I'll likely never be able to repay him for what he's enabled us to do for our kids. 10/10 would recommend.

When I filled for divorce I asked around to friends and co workers about a great lawyer. I had 3 different people tell me that thay didn't know one, but there is this lawyer Matthew Dudley who made there lawyer look like an idiot in court. So I called him! Best choice that I ever made! Tell the tru...th, dont play games and if you have matthew you will gets what's fair or better. My ex made up lies and called CPS and a bunch of bs. Matthew Dudley is the best! Tough as nails, straight forward communication and works long extended hours on evenings and weekends. He understood my case well, called me out of my own BS and baggage and work tirelessly in the face of my ex-wife’s several lawyers. He was fairly priced, counseled me ...personally with bits of good advice and professionally. I contacted him years latter as additional healthcare and educational issues came up with the ex and he remembered me and my case well. He jumped right back into helping me navigate current issues.
