I missed a court date that his office never notified me about. He was unprepared for hearings and said he had other cases going. That cost me $1,500 In her attorney fees. He never sent the $23,000 check back. That cost me another $1,500 in attorney fees. I had to search the court docket and notify h...im of this court date. He apologized for not sending the check back and said he’d make it right. When I told him he could cover the fees and not charge me his, he filed to remove himself as counsel. Gave the wrong email address so I was not notified. I had to see it searching to see if I had anymore court dates.

Called Mark Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving. He got us in that Friday the day after Thanksgiving. We decided to hire him and he made the time to start the process of paperwork that Sunday. It was great he did this so my wife and I didn’t have to miss work and our case was a time sensitive issue.... The few times I’ve had to emailed him he seem to get right back to us with answers.

Mark Hodgson processed my case. Eventually, I realized that Mark had only a layman's understanding of the case, the WA State RCW's or any case law pertaining to it. During the hearing Mark was tactfully informed by the Commissioner that he was arguing for relief that was clearly disallowed per the ...information provided the court and specific RCW laws. Mark was shocked! The commissioner asked Mark, if his client would be willing to adjust the petition to qualify for a different judgment. Of course, Mark answered in the affirmative. At this point, Mark was unable to produce the documentation to augment the correct order that was awarded by the commissioner (I had just handed this to him, prior to entering court). The commissioner issued the order regardless. Oh yes, there was also one other incredibly and infuriating transgression by Mr. Hodgson. Unbelievably, two days before our first hearing date, Mark Hodgson had previously struck the case without my permission, prematurely in error, thereby requiring me to delay for another hearing. Finally, Mark not only stumble-bumbled this case, but I had to hire another attorney to correctly finish the paper work created by his staff that was required before I could qualify for the judgement ordered by the commissioner. This warning is not submitted in anger. These claims are all verifiable from the transcripts of this hearing that I have on file. My desire is to inform any other potential clients of this office of the incompetence of Mark Hodgson.

Made a lot of promises, never kept any. Resolution was so poorly executed that it cost me tens of thousands in my settlement. Staff was worse than he was. Clerical errors, filing errors, I had to stay on top of everything and point out numerous corrections and ride them until they were fixed. A huge ...disappointment.
