Jenaé was born and raised in Santa Rosa, California. She attended Gonzaga University and earned a BA double majoring in International Relations and French Language and Literature. During college, she studied for a year in Paris, France at the prestigious L'Institut Catholique de Paris where she earned a diplome.
Between college and law school, Jenaé studied foreign policy at American University in Washington, D.C. and interned for the International Foundation for Election Systems (“IFES”), which is a non-government organization that focuses on democracy building and election assistance in developing countries. After completing her studies at American University, she returned to her hometown and worked as a law clerk at Baddley, Oliker, and Sartori for a year prior to attending law school.
Jenaé attended Gonzaga University School of Law, during which time she served on the Student Bar Association and was awarded Representative of the Year, was member of the Moot Court Council’s National Trial Team, served as Vice President of Phi Delta Phi, received a Cali Award for Labor Law, was on the Dean’s Academic Honors List, and a member of various student council societies and caucuses. During the summer of 2003, she attended Gonzaga University School of Law’s International Law Program in Florence, Italy.
During law school and for several months post-graduation, Jenaé interned at the Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney’s office where she assisted in the implementation of the federal Drug Endangered Children program. Jenaé trained law enforcement in statutory interpretation and evidence collection procedures, worked on a variety of criminal matters, and tried felony cases.
In 2006, Jenaé was hired as a civil litigation associate with Paine Hamblen, during which time she focused primarily on employment litigation both at the state and federal levels. In 2008, she was hired by K&L Gates, where she continued to work in the area of employment litigation and advice as well as complex civil litigation and corporate advice. In 2011, she was hired by Randall | Danskin, P.S. to work in the firm's employment and labor law group.
