Devra Hermosilla's practice focuses on employment law, civil litigation, and criminal defense. In her position immediately prior to forming Sigle Law PLLC, Devra concentrated her practice on employment defense litigation in Portland, Oregon. Prior to that, she practiced law in Spokane, Washington at the law firm of Paine Hamblen, primarily in general civil litigation with occasional criminal defense matters.
On the criminal defense side, in addition to private criminal representation, Devra currently acts as assigned counsel for Grant County juvenile court. She represents her clients in the defense of misdemeanor and felony criminal charges, including plea negotiations, arraignments, motion practice, bench and jury trials.
On the civil litigation side, Devra regularly represents clients before administrative agencies and state and federal court. Her practice includes representing clients in alternative dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation, and arbitration. She is licensed in state and federal courts in Washington, inactive in Idaho and Oregon.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Devra worked in human resources for a large manufacturing company. This human resources background contributes to her unique perspective on the legal concerns of her business and employer clients - and their need to meet their budget obligations.
As a fluent Spanish speaker, Devra also offers individual and small-group employee training and investigatory interviews in Spanish.
Devra was named as a "Rising Star" in the 2009, Oregon Super Lawyers (Employment Litigation: Defense) and was a printed nominee for the 2010 Women in Business award, Portland Business Journal.
Devra speaks at employment and training seminars, has authored local and nationally published articles on employment laws in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. She is a member of the national and local Human Resources Management Associations, currently serving on the board of the Lower Columbia Human Resources Management Association. Devra also serves as a member of her local Bar Association’s diversity and leadership committees.
When she is not practicing law, Devra participates in local community leadership groups, family activities, and is involved with her roller derby team, The Rodeo City Rollergirls.

I have gotten to know Devra Hermosilla through working with her in Grant County Juvenile Court. She is intelligent, caring and very nice. We are good friends and she and her sister Dovie work out of Ellensburg WA. Call them if you need any criminal defense work

Devra assisted a good friend of mine with a very sensitive and difficult ADA complaint involving harassment by an employer following cancer treatment. My friend is very pleased with the outcome of this representation. I, in turn, am very pleased to have the opportunity to refer potential employment law clients to an Ellensburg attorney after having sent most of those cases to Seattle for the past few years.
