Would Highly Recommend

When my husband and I decided to file bankruptcy, we researched local bankruptcy attorneys and came across great reviews for Mr. MaGee, so we decided to meet with him for a free consultation. We were his last appointment that evening, and his conversation with the client before ran over into our appo...intment time. I took this is a GREAT sign, since it was obvious he wasn’t rushing his clients out the door, but rather taking the time to address their concerns and just be personable. Once we got in to see him, he spent roughly 40 minutes talking with us about our financial situation and then another 20 minutes about life in general to get to know us as people. He didn’t mind that we brought our 1-year-old and was very patient with our son’s activity level. He is a calm individual who speaks deliberately with an obvious competence in bankruptcy law, but he’s also just a truly nice person. He was very professional, which was a confidence builder for my husband and I, considering we were opening what was essentially the privacy vault on all our financial woes. He doesn’t judge; he speaks frankly about the options. As part of the process, we knew it would be necessary to answer potentially embarrassing questions about how our financial situation had deteriorated into bankruptcy, but his friendly, disarming approach made him the clear choice for us. After the initial meeting, my husband and I worked closely with his staff to get all the paperwork in order. His staff is very friendly and thorough. When we went to sign our documents, they went over things with us and made whatever corrections were necessary. Once everything was ready, we had a brief meeting with Mr. MaGee himself to sign everything, answer his remaining questions, and address any of our additional concerns and expectations for the 341 meeting. This meeting was brief, because he had a court appointment immediately following, but we didn’t feel rushed, and all our questions were answered to our satisfaction. Mr. Magee’s office staff was instrumental in keeping us on track to gather and submit documents. They answered emails promptly, returned calls the same day and always answered the phone in a pleasant manner. Our chapter 7 was a no-asset, primarily unsecured credit bankruptcy but the extent of documentation required was time consuming. Mr. Magee’s office staff was prompt with reminding us to gather statements, tax forms and making appointments for signing legal documents. It’s easy to see that that are the backbone of his operation. Yesterday, we attended our 341 meeting with Mr. MaGee. Though we were a bit anxious about how it would go, everything went as smoothly as he told us it would – literally taking less than 5 minutes for our case. Afterwards, Mr. MaGee spent another 30 minutes or so tying up lose ends with us and answering our questions. I appreciated his willingness to ensure we left the courthouse with no unanswered questions – something I’m confident he does with all his clients. We would highly recommend Mr. MaGee’s office.

Most honest, trustworthy and ethical lawyer- James Magee should be your first and only choice

James magee is so knowledgeable. He not only knows the bankruptcy laws, he helps you understand what is needed for him to be your best advocate. You feel very comfortable, he is non judge mental and makes you feel like you are in the best of hands. We have been a client of Mr. Magee's for over three... years and have recommended him highly to many of our friends. Having to go through this embarrassing task of filing bankruptcy, James gave us a piece of mind. We left his office with our heads high our dignity was restored. Our bankruptcy was handled quickly and proficiently . His office staff was courteous and friendly.

This is a very trustworthy attorney, a man of his word. I highly recommend him.

I am glad to have this opportunity to recommend Attorney James Henry MaGee, as a very compassionate, helpful, attorney. He made me feel more relaxed, after meeting with him. I could sleep a lot better, not worrying about my bad circumstances. He impressed me as one who can do very well under pressure.... He made me feel more like a friend, rather than just another client. Yes, he really stands top of my list for attorneys.

From a retired military viewpoint.

Assisted me with my CH 13, then the conversion to CH 7. Very professional, easy to talk with and knowlegable in answering my questions concerning my recent divorce and how it would effect my bankruptcy proceedings and my concerns that I was still active military at the time.
