Great immigration lawyer
Mr. Tom Youngjohn is very genuine about caring for his customers, even when he doesn’t get paid. He takes the time to listen and give valid answers and makes sure he got all of your questions answer. I would highly recommend Mr. Tom Youngjohn for any immigration case. He’s the one of greatest person that I’ve met, and he is kind and nice to everyone. I am Buddhist monk and I am working with him over 3 years. He helped me throughout the entire process, kept me informed on all notices, and sent me reminders. It has been a pleasure working with Mr. Tom Youngjohn. His knowledge and understanding of the USCIS regulations is spot on. He tells you the honest truth about the processes and makes sure you are prepared both mentally and with all desired/required documentation. Call him and he will give you a free consultation

Hardly ever write any reviews but I thought I would this time because Tom was our lawyer to help my mother change her immigration status and my experience with him was what anyone should expect from a lawyer. Our case with him went smooth and fast, I am sure it went that way because he educated us on the steps needed, what paperwork we should have and send so we wouldn't have to be sending more stuff in the future. Refreshing when you hear the truth and not what you wanna hear. He has earned a positive referral from me to my friends and people I know.

Very Impressive
My application for citizenship was complicated by several factors, and the first several attorneys that looked at my case said that they could not handle it - that I would be better served by someone who had a better record with tough cases. They recommended Tom Youngjohn. Now that I am a U.S. citizen, I am so grateful for that recommendation. Tom is a rare combination of intelligence, affability, and integrity. It is no wonder that he has a long and impressive list of successes with immigration cases. My family and I will be forever indebted to this man for his expert help during a very stressful time of our lives. R.R.

Brilliant Attorney!
Tom Youngjohn is the greatest immigration attorney I've ever met. I was in the middle of losing in my request to change my status before I spoke with him, for free, on the phone. Mr. Youngjohn can charm the birds out of the trees, and coaxed an approval out of USCIS and now I can stay in the US as long as I want. Tom saved me, and kept me in this amazing country. God bless this man.

I would recommend
I would recommend Tom Youngjohn to someone needing immigration assistance. He was very knowledgeable and together we completed and submitted my application and paperwork, letting me know what steps would be next. He later helped with a legal matter arising after submission of my application and made calls that completely resolved the issue. Any time I had questions, he replied the same day and my questions were answered completely. I feel the cost of his services were affordable and very fair.

Green Card - Adjustment of Status
Tom met with us around July, extensively explaining and addressing our concerns regarding our case. We knew right away that he was the lawyer that we wanted to go with, as Tom's passion for law is very strong. He is a very knowledgeable individual who craves facts and extensive research. He kept us informed throughout the whole process. His great knowledge helped us get through our interview, and we ended up being approved! With that being said, THANK YOU Tom for doing everything in your power to help us win as well as taking a big load of stress away for good.

Efficient, knowledgeable and possibly the best!
I received my greencard on the same day as my immigration interview - something that apparently is very rare since 9/11. Tom Youngjohn was fantastic and knew exactly what he was talking about. Everything he said would happen happened in the order it was supposed to. PLUS he has a set fee and there are no hidden costs!

An amazing deportation lawyer
My first lawyer was good, but she lost my case in front of the immigration judge. Actually, the hearing went so badly that I was arrested after the Individual Calendar Hearing. The Immigration Judge would not let me out of jail. I hired Tom Youngjohn to ask the Immigration Judge to let me out and to reopen my case. The Immigration Judge would not listen to Tom Youngjohn, but the Board of Immigration Appeals did. They granted Tom Youngjohn's appeal and terminated the proceedings based on Tom's Motion to Terminate. Tom Youngjohn is the greatest immigration attorney on the planet. I love this man.

Great to work with
Tom was very responsive to all our questions and handled the case very professionally. He handled our case with intergrity which we truly appreciate. Also, his fee was very reasonable. We are very glad that we found him and he was the right person for the case. I wish all lawyers are as friendly and excellent as Tom. Thanks Tom.

Don't Waste Your Money on him!
I interacted with Tom 3 times, and each time he kept cutting me off and telling me to go do homework. He fought with me regarding my case and at the end of each conversation I forgot that I was paying him to represent me and he acted like he was doing me a favor. He explained topics to me like a child and didn't listen, not sure how he is still a lawyer.

Do Not Recommend
DID NOT KEEP me informed about what forms were needed after the first ones were approved-wasted alot of time- GOT EXTREMERY TESTY, ANGRY AT TIMES!! Reviewed by WSBA!!

Tom Youngjohn gave me wrong advice and took the wrong action by NOT filling certain applications with my case. We had about a whole year of wasted time, before another attorney consulted recommended the said application be filed. After, we demanded and insisted the application be filed. when we got him to eventually file the application, the application was approved. Did not like and take kindly to our suggestions and input. Got very testy at times.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2021.

Reprimand issued in WA, 2021
updated on 12/01/2021

This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Tom's comment: “Following the Reprimand, the Justice Department certified me qualified to be a US Immigration Judge fifty seven (57) times in 2014 & 2016. USDOJ should know, right? The Reprimand? A former MP, he wanted to handle his own (difficult) removal case& I didn't withdraw quick enough from his proceedings, so he filed a grievance. So then I moved to withdraw. But then the client changed his mind. So I went on to win his removal case. Client wished to withdraw his grievance but the Bar wouldn't let him!”

"I endorse this lawyer. Tom is passionate about immigration law. He puts his clients first. I have no reservation about referring those with immigration law needs to Tom. Immigration law is a difficult field and there are many lawyers who don't understand what is really involved in being a fully active and ongoing practitioner in the immigration law field. You can trust Tom to know what needs to get done....and to do it in a timely fashion. Tom is devoted to this area of the law."
