Amoral, Shady and Duplicitous

I handed $3500.00 of my own hard earned money to this hustler and hustled I was. There is no moral compass within Mr. Woodrow. In less than 90 days, he would be a complete no-show to not one, but TWO court hearings as well as refuse me my own case file upon my firing him. Ask any attorney or legal re...presentative, the number one thing you never do, is leave your client without representation at a court hearing. I was fighting a gross misdemeanor criminal case in the Municipality of Olympia. I will avoid the nonsense that was a criminal case against me, sufficing it to say the prosecutor officially took up charges against me on August 12, 2018. Having misjudged and dismissed one attorney in my case already, I had little time and less money to waste in securing trustworthy legal counsel. Having discussed the entire case with Mr. Woodrow, he requested and received from me the above mentioned retainer as a flat fee for his services throughout the criminal case, until it's conclusion. The first court hearing under his counsel, he was a no-show when the gavel dropped. Have you ever been in that position? Did you know that without legal counsel, you are disallowed from progressing your case at all? Doesn't it go without saying that all of the effort you have put into being at court on time is completely wasted when your attorney LEAVES YOU HANGING? So, the babysitting arrangements, the bus rides, the Uber payment, the missed work and the income now unavailable because of the absenteeism resulting from YOUR MANDATORY APPEARANCE, are wasted on this con-man and serve only to garnish his absence with the bitterness of buyers remorse. It doesn't mean anything to this guy. He showed up 45 minutes late and managed to secure me a "CONTINUANCE" so that I could give him another chance to make a fool out of me. Which is exactly what he did. I was reporting every week to pre-trial services as well as showing up for court hearings every 4 weeks. After his first circus act of a court hearing 4 weeks prior, I was very apprehensive to trust him again. I spoke with him upon leaving the courthouse that day and he made every effort to assure me that it was an honest mistake. So, I kept him in retainer and was cautiously optimistic moving forward. I should have been more cautious. December 18 would come and Mr. Woodrow failed to show completely. I had just spoke with him the previous day so he knew full well what the deal was. Missing another full day of work for a hearing he couldn't find the time for, I was beside myself, literally and figuratively. After repeated phone calls and emails going completely ignored by Meghan and he, I waited outside his firm for over an hour. Mr. Woodrow eventually contacted me offering that the reason he missed my court hearing was because he "accidentally" double booked and was required to be in Thurston County District or Superior Court at that same time. My name is Dave Davidson and my court hearing was December 18, 2018. I checked the docket at Thurston County, in both circuits, and you can do the same. He had no showing of record in either building. I can assure you, this guy had no intention of earning his retainer and any potential future client of his needs to be aware of all his previous clients. Woodrow's just waiting for that retainer to be paid, after that, he might as well be wheeling into retirement on your dollar. There is much more to this story and I am HAPPY to talk with any of you who think this guy deserves your money. I dismissed him in the beginning of January 2019 after I found out his assistant Meghan was the one negotiating with the prosecutor's office. The deal I was offered was evidence of this, along with the emails I was forwarded. FTR, my court case was dismissed with prejudice on May 13, 2019. On the last hearing before trial.
