John Anton Sterbick

I came to Mr. Sterbick a couple of years ago to resolve a nasty tax issue where I had been audited due to not being able to show oil change receipts to back up mileage logs. This resulted in me oweing over $50K in interest and penalties. Mr. Sterbick not only correctly advised me to file CH 13 after... representing me to the IRS, but moreover advised waiting a year so that the last year under audit would be covered. We waited this out for well over a year, and recently filed. It was the best decision I've made, as my credit score actually went up 100 points simply by cleaning out all of the old debt and resetting things so to speak. I can't speak highly enough about Mr. Sterbick and his entire team as they didn't treat me as a number but rather acted as a consultant for my specific situation and provided a long-term solution that end the end was very beneficial to me. I contacted Mr. Sterbick’s office to consult him regarding my bankruptcy. I had previously retained an attorney in Seattle that was not familiar with combat related disability exemptions. I met with Lorelei who confirmed that the income we were receiving from my husband’s combat related disability wa...s exempt. I retained their services and provided them with the requested information. I felt that we had some complex situations and Mr. Sterbick and his staff were consummate professionals. During the process I had some questions regarding toll bills in the state of Texas. Ray (another paralegal) maintained his composure despite how frustrated I was. We went to our Creditors Hearing meeting, and the next day heard from Lorelei. She told us that the Trustee reported No Distributions, and there were no exempt-assets. Filing a chapter 7 was a difficult decision for me. After meeting with Lorelei and John some of my anxiety was eased. They explained the entire process to me and I decided to file.
