Almost lost my career without Heather!

As a career Soldier I had so much to lose when the most personally and professionally embarrassing event took place; I was arrested for reckless driving and DUI. With over 16 years in the uniform and serving our country, I could truly see no positive outcomes for a pending Board of Inquiry not only ...in the military, but in a career beyond the military. With the civilian court concluded and the military board looming, I knew this was essentially the fight not only for my well being and future, but my family’s as well. If anyone is reading this and finds themselves in a similar situation, and you care about what you have done and will continue to do, look no further than to Heather’s help. If you hire her, and I recommend you do, you'll have someone on your side with a non-JAG perspective. Someone with an in-depth knowledge of the military trial system and knows military regulation. Someone with the tenacity to fight for your ‘Retain’, combined with a complete understanding of what is at stake, and the needed compassion to prove to the board that you are worthwhile and that you still have a place in the uniform. Otherwise, there are options either at no-cost to you or other representation available…but why when you can have the best on your side?? Without a doubt, Heather helped me earn my 'Retain', and because of her, I will be able to continue on and retire. It was because of similar reviews on Heather's past successes that I consulted her and instantly knew I needed her expertise. It wasn't a difficult decision to hire her to represent me, and looking back, it was the smartest decision I made for the dumbest mistake in my life.

Helping someone who has done so much for the Service and our Country was truly an honor, and I am so glad we were able to work together to save your career. Getting to see your face when you heard the word "retained" was absolutely priceless. It was my pleasure to assist you and your family. Thank you so much for the kind review.

An Absolute Pleasure to be Represented by Heather

I was represented by Heather for about 9 months. Knowing Heather was in my corner put me at ease during what would should have been a high stress situation. I was impressed with her professionalism, experience, and persistence to beat the prosecution team. Like others have commented, she was not judg...mental at all. Furthermore, she was upfront and honest about the potential outcomes of my situation. She is also very meticulous and took note of each and every mistake the prosecution team made. Her hard work led to the prosecution team dismissing all charges against me and taking the easy way out (GOMOR). I can now continue to live the rest of my life in peace!

Thank you very much for the review. I am honored to have been your attorney and I appreciate your trust during your ordeal. As you know, I worked very hard on your case, but even so, it was such a great experience - especially the outstanding outcome of a full dismissal. Thank you again and please let me know if I may be of assistance again in the future.

Military Career Retained

My case was decided by an Administrative Separation Board. I was facing an OTH discharge and was able to retain my fifteen year military career. Heather has the drive and determination and will fight for you until the end. She is genuine and really cares about her clients. If I need legal advice in t...he future, I will definitely turn to Heather and her legal team.

The BEST

Just over a year ago I tried to buy a pistol and I was declined. I was shocked! I had just purchased 2 rifles the month before. Come to find out, something I had done back when I was 16 or 17 forfeited my rights. I was 38 at the time of buying. That was 20+ years ago! I was a kid who made some mista...kes, but i had no idea that i needed to have my record expunged after all these years. I wasn't sure where to begin, so I asked the people at BullsEye gun store in Tacoma (that is where I purchased all my guns) what I should do. They gave me Heather's number and said she was a great lawyer at getting gun rights back. I was willing to give it a shot (no pun intended). I am so glad I did!!! She was top notch in my opinion. She was very inviting and made me feel comfortable through the whole process. She explained everything to me: cost, timeline, obstacles, etc... She was very professional about my case. I am now a proud owner of a Glock 27 and a .22 caliber Ruger LCR pistol that I bought legally. I am looking forward to my next handgun too! I would recommend Heather's services to anyone looking to get their record expunged. I know every case is different, but she told me up front that she thought she could get MY rights reinstated. She did! She was honest and trustworthy! I appreciate that in a person! Thank you Heather! You are the Best!!!

Chris - Thank you so much for the kind review. It was a pleasure to work with you - you deserve ALL your constitutional rights! It was so ridiculous that something that long ago and that petty could keep you from a basic freedom like the right to bear arms. I hope you are enjoying your restored firearm rights and having plenty of opportunities to get out to the range!

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
