What can I say about attorney Dennis Schroeder, he was very professional from his consultation until the end of my hearing. I had a pretty crazy ex-wife and I came across almost every horrible trial and tribulation that can happen to a man going through a divorce, happened to me!! I would definitely... call it a Jerry Springer situation. Well after battling with my ex wife’s counsel in court not just once but 3 times we came out ahead every time!! Had we known to hire Dennis at the beginning of my sister’s highly contentious parenting plan litigation, which had been going on for over seven years at that point, we would have saved a tremendous amount of heartache, anxiety, and money. Since the moment Dennis and his friendly and knowledgeable pa...ralegal came on board to help clean up a mess caused by multiple former attorneys, Dennis and his team showed that they care deeply about what happens to my sister and her children. My sister went from the primary parent for the children's entire lives until a little over one year ago when her abusive ex-cop (fired after nearly 20 years – yep that’s right your tax dollars paid for him and still does via his pension -- on the force because he lied and concealed past criminal convictions) and ex-husband mounted a sneak attack and obtained primary custody. There was supposed to be a trial a few months later, but my sister’s very poor counsel at the time entered into agreement with the ex for a new parenting plan. My parents used the last of their money to pay for the attorney who did a very poor job at the scheduled trial (took a $25K trial retainer, didn’t go to trial, and agreed to a terrible deal for my sister). Less than one month later, in July 2017, the abuser ex dragged her back into court and obtained a "temporary" order retraining her from all contact with her children based on his blatant misrepresentations in declarations. Meanwhile, our mother passed away in August 2017 without an opportunity to see her grandchildren one last time. No subsequent attorney was able to undue all of this sneaky, conniving behavior by a convicted criminal and former cop, fired for his dishonesty, except Dennis. I am also an attorney (I do not practice family law) and was so shocked this was happening to my sister and her three lovely children who have such a strong bond with their mother and was shocked that the ex was trying to break that bond using the court system. I reached out to respected colleagues who attended my Alma Mater (Seattle U Law) and we discovered Dennis through multiple good-will referrals that kept stating that Dennis is THE attorney for this job. We hired Dennis in December 2017. Within three months, and seven months after the "temporary" order was placed, Dennis valiantly and successfully defended my sister’s right to parent her children and she regained her position to prior to July 2017. Impressively, Dennis’ vigorous arguments at the hearing nearly resulted in Rule 11 Sanctions for the other side, despite the fact that the other attorney started practicing law when Dennis was still in diapers. We are all thrilled with these results as extended family, as well as their own mother, had been mostly barred from seeing the children by the father since July 2017 except for a few visits. Dennis is a champion of justice who was able to lay out all the facts clearly, calmly, and effectively, and won my sister's position back (and the position of her children) so clearly and decisively while the other side appeared angry and kept making obvious misstatements of what the Commissioner was ordering. Another note about Dennis, not only is he technically accurate and a brilliant legal strategist, he is most importantly honest, straightforward, and gives news and prognoses in a straightforward manner. I went to Dennis in Feb of 2016 needed his work for a custody case. Dennis was fare about the amount and is a very personable person. What I like about him is that he's straight forward and was in it for the best interest of my daughter. He is pretty good about getting back to you at a reasonable tim...e as well which is another thing I liked about him. He also is a father so I think he understands the importance of making sure the child is safe and it's not just about winning. I would definitely recommend him.
