Robert Getz provided stellar representation in my case. From the first meeting where he outlined the law and along the way as he updated me on the status of my case and how the law and the facts were on my side. It was easy to see I had the best attorney in the case as the opposing attorney was not... even in his league. After being misrepresented and having poor representation in a divorce and custody battle, I later found out that I was facing yet another battle. The verbiage on my divorce decree was incorrect and was keeping me from receiving what what agreed upon. I found Bob to be willing to take on my case as... well as extremely knowledgeable in the Military requirements for retirement division. I am a 30 year old male, with primary custody of my child and had been involved in a messy child custody case with a different attorney for the past 4 years. An attorney that my family had trusted and used for 20+ years. After 4 years, my case was not gaining any ground. In fact I was loosing ground.... My attorney would consistently not keep me in the loop, would not return phonecalls or emails in a timely fashion if at all, unless it was to ask for more money, inform me of due dates for mountains of paperwork the afternoon before the morning they were due, and not appropriately address my issues reguarding the case, mostly re-interpereting my information/declarations incorrectly. Resulting in me looking ridiculous in front of judges at hearings. Not to mention charging me excessive amounts of money for sub-par services. Finally tired of being taken advantage of, I began to shop around for another attorney. I met with a few in the Everett area but was getting the feeling that they all seemed to be the same. I had gotten Robert's number from an aquaintance at a club I am part of. He had told me he was a little on the expensive side but was worth it. Hesitant because I was already hemorrhaging tens of thousands of dollars with the current attorney I tucked the number into my wallet. I felt I was already invested with this attorney and I could ride it out. Another hearing came and big surprise, my attorney made me look like a fool to the point the judge yelled at me in front of the whole courtroom. Now I was done. I was worried that jumping ship and switching attorneys would drag this out even more at my expense. But I was treading water. So I got the number out of my wallet and called and setup a meeting with Robert. He was more informative in those 2 hours than my other attorney had been in 4 years. I felt like there actually may be light at the end of this dark tunnel I had been stuck in for years. He did explain very straightforward that he isn't the cheapest but he likes to get results. I thought, "wow this guy is really honest." What a great first impression. I left thinking ," why didn't I talk to this guy sooner?" I mulled it over for a few days and felt strongly about Robert's outlook on my case and decided to hire him. Ever since then I realized I should have hired him long ago. Robert and his staff have been nothing but accommodating to anything I have ever needed. They knew going into my case that it was very improperly handled and my case file was pretty messy. Robert and his staff made very quick work becoming familiar with my case file, which is really big. Any emails or phonecalls have been expeditiously returned with amazing detail in the answers. And trust me, I have sent a lot of emails and made many phonecalls. I have had many meetings with Robert as well as I prefer face to face on important issues that I feel need more attention than an email. With every meeting I feel very informed and he does an exquisite job of explaining everything in great detail. Even with phonecalls, Robert returns them personally and will again explain every question you have. He and his office staff are very good at listening to whatever it is that you need or want to know and find the right answers in a very timely fashion. Robert is also very good about setting up realistic expectations about the happenings in the courtroom. He has never promised anything that he cannot deliver on. He and his office are very personable, professional, and they produce results. My case is still ongoing, and so far I have been extremely impressed in its progress. This office took my mess of a case, steered it in the right direction, and moved it forward. It has been well worth the investment. I just wish I had done it sooner.
