Jay W. Neff

I had an extremely disappointing experience working with Jay Neff and the Cowlitz Law Firm. In my case, communication was poor and my concerns were not taken seriously. I did not feel adequately represented, and the outcome reflected that. In hindsight, I believe I would’ve had a better result repres...enting myself rather than spending money on this firm I also found their billing practices unreasonable. For instance, very short emails that likely took only seconds to write were billed as 10+ minutes of attorney time. It often felt like I was being charged for every minor interaction, with billed hours that seemed disproportionate to the actual work performed. During my court appearance, Jay Neff appeared unprepared and nervous, often stuttering through his words and audibly sighing between sentences. It did not convey confidence at all. Based on my experience and what I’ve read from other clients, I would not recommend this firm to anyone.

I hired Jay for my family law case. I am thorough and ask a lot of questions. There was 1 point in time where I questioned if I had made the right choice, so I reached out and confronted Jay on some of the issues I had. His response made complete sense and I then understood why he was going the route..., or advising the way he was. Once I understood this, I had a different appreciation for the success in my divorce (specifically the parenting plan). My daughter's best interest is what was most important to me and he helped me attain as close to that as possible, while still being fair.

For over 2 years, Mr. Neff worked with me to help me get full custody of my children and away from my ex's toxic home. He answered every question (I emailed A LOT!) and only had my best interest at heart. His years' of experience showed in the courtroom. If you want to win your case, I recommend Mr.... Neff!!
