Employment and Labor 25%

I represent individuals with most other employment issues, including FMLA claims, unpaid wages and overtime, and unemployment appeals. I have represented individuals who have worked for the largest companies in the Northwest, including Boeing, Microsoft, Amazon, Weyerhauser, Safeway, QFC, University of Washington, Fred Hutchinson, Adobe, as well as smaller employers.

Personal Injury 25%

People who are injured face many difficult obstacles. Pain and suffering is much more than physical--it can affect a person's quality of life and his or her relations with others. Chronic pain can lead to medical depression and hopelessness. Even short term pain can cause difficulties at work. You may need an accommodation or time away from work. Because I also do employment law, I advise my clients to make sure that their livelihoods are minimally impacted by their injuries.

200% Would Consult/Hire Again

As a customer service professional, I could not ask for a better experience. I am very impressed! Matt was very professional, friendly and respectful. He understood what I needed without me having to spell it all out in detail, respected my time and the money I paid to speak with him, and he did ...an excellent job anticipating needs I wasn't aware of. I didn't feel pressured, judged or looked down on in any way while talking with him, which are experiences I've had with other attorneys. I absolutely recommend him.

Above and Beyond

Matt has been a tremendous help to me. I was in a difficult situation with a previous employer. He helped me examine the bullying tactics of that employer. That ex-employer continues to harass but Matt is right there by my side. I am very appreciative of his hard work and the way he doesn't look at m...y case as a margin of profit. Thanks Matt!

Excellent, Resolute Attorney

After much research and careful consideration, among a large pool of attorneys and law firms in the Greater Seattle area, I selected Matt to represent me as plaintiff attorney for two separate employment lawsuits over the past eight years. The first was for a suit against a CEO of a tech consulting f...irm who failed to pay his employees their due payroll, 401K deposits, health insurance payments and W-2 tax withholdings. I was the lead plaintiff for a group of eight. The CEO filed for bankruptcy and the matter was further complicated by him having citizenship in a distant foreign country. The second against a former business partner who failed to pay a large sum of money due me under a Buy-Sell & Separation Agreement. My partner then filed a frivolous counter-claim against me, which Matt defended. Very long and complex stories, each, to summarize: both ended with successful cash and terms settlements before trial to my high satisfaction under Matt’s leadership and direction. I highly recommend Matt and Bean Law Group for any corporate employment or related dispute, including complex and comprehensive situations with many twists and turns, whether it be a lawsuit that culminates in a judge-only or judge+jury trial or a settlement outside court for its full resolution. In fact, I did just that, for a software technology sector friend and colleague who was a non-US citizen at the time of his incident, working in the US under an H-1B visa, and was not paid by his employer for six months. Matt successfully resolved his case to my friend’s great satisfaction as well. Matt has a strong legal mind. He is intelligent and thinks logically. I highly recommend him.

Very helpful!

Matt was very fast at settling my issue with a former employer over a non compete clause. Over the course of a couple in person visits, he has constructed a document aimed at my former employers attorneys with the aim of settling the dispute without having to do before a judge or step into a court ro...om. Matt was also very reachable by phone if I had any questions.

"I endorse this lawyer. Matt is a fierce competitor and thorough professional. No one will out work this attorney. He and I have fought many battles over employment law and no one could have a better advocate than Matt Bean. His thoughtful presentation and excellent brief writing will be an asset during these trying times. Matt can win your case on a brief alone. He has done it against me many times. I would endorse him to represent or advise you."
