Lauren has helped me create my engagement letter, employment offer letters as well as craft language to gently remind clients that we need all of the documents we ask for and we cannot accurately provide them the info they need without all of those documents. I've had her documents reviewed by o...ther attorneys (before the other party signs them) and have been complimented on how well written they are. For myself I like that I understand what is being said and that she walks through everything with me to ensure I understand it and that there are no unaddressed concerns before we agree the document is finalized.

We engaged Lauren to assist us in adding a new stockholder to our corporation who will ultimately become the majority shareholder. Like many small companies, we knew what we wanted to do, but also understood that a change in ownership encompasses a broad variety of issues of which we may or may not ...be aware. We prepared an initial purchase and sale agreement and then sat down with Lauren to see what we really needed. Lauren spent about 90 minutes asking a lot of probing questions so she could understand the specifics of our situation. She then told us that we needed 2 documents - a purchase and sale agreement and a shareholders agreement - to address the issues unique to our situation. She then quoted a fee to create each of these documents. I agreed to the reasonable fee and asked her to proceed. Within a few days she produced a purchase and sale agreement and within another week a shareholder's agreement came through. Lauren addressed all of our issues and added others which were pertinent not only to our immediate needs, but to the long term consequences of the present agreement. Of course we had questions which were quickly addressed and final documents were soon ready for signing. The fee charged was less than quoted and the overall experience was better than imagined. The most impressive part of our relationship was Lauren's knowledge of business and how it works beyond the legal issues involved. I have had good and bad interactions with legal professionals before this time and thus had mixed feelings about the legal profession in general. Working with Lauren, however, has raised my perception of the value and importance of legal assistance. I am sure I will request her help in future transactions associated with our business.
