Don C. King, founder of King Military Law, boasts nearly thirty years of military experience, with twenty-four years dedicated to military law. His journey began as an enlisted Marine, where he served in security roles at U.S. Embassies and supported high-level officials as part of Secret Service protective details. Upon completion of his service, he leveraged the GI Bill to earn his degrees in Oregon. In 1996, Don returned as a Navy Judge Advocate, where he quickly established himself as an accomplished trial attorney, securing an acquittal in a murder case shortly after starting his military legal career.
Over the years, Don has held significant positions that encompass military criminal law, including leadership roles as both a senior prosecutor and defense counsel. His influence extends to training fellow attorneys in the Navy’s Defense Counsel Assistance Program. Renowned for his dedication and legal skills, Don remains active in his community, volunteering for veteran support programs and serving as a judge in mock trial competitions. Now retired, he offers his extensive legal counsel to those in need, continuing to make a positive impact through his work.

King and his team will give you one hundred percent of their efforts.
I was once told by my command and even military lawyers that my separation from the military was inevitable and that there was no way to fight it. But, thanks to the guidance of Mr. King, I was encouraged to fight for my name and was even able to win my board. Angela and Kasheta were always there to ...
Thanks for telling your story, Ariel. Unfortunately, many active duty members are given little hope when they find themselves accused of something in the military, and it can definitely be discouraging. But, in our experience, it's always best to at least try and fight back. The military makes mistakes, witnesses don't always tell the truth, and commands make decisions based on erroneous information. That's why all of us here at KML think "out of the box." We never assume, we never guess, and we never give up. Your case is a perfect example of why. Our very best to you, Ariel. So glad that you have your future back! Don

I was facing separation from the military and was not sure what I could do about it. KML reviewed my case, diligently amassed all the information from all the sources necessary, implemented a clear plan and finally executed with overwhelming efficiency. All while treating me and all involved with dec...

Exceptional service!
Don King and his practice, "King Military Law," have been an absolute game-changer in my life. From the moment I spoke to Don for a free consultation over a year ago, I knew I was making the right choice. The journey that followed has been nothing short of extraordinary. I had the opportunity to con...
Thank you, Kyle! We're all so thankful that this is now behind you! Thanks also for choosing us to help you fight these battles. It’s never easy to face separation from the job you love and the military life that you and your family have known for years, and trusting a law firm to defend you is an enormous leap of trust—we know that. We consider it an enormous honor when clients place that trust in us, and we do everything we can to earn that trust. And so we can't tell you how gratifying client satisfaction is. While this job pays our bills, our real reward is sitting next to you when you hear that you’ve won or reading that you’re happy you trusted us. We really do understand how hard it is for service members and their families to go through these battles and we recognize that helping you win means more than just answering legal questions. Our mission statement includes helping clients and their families through all aspects of their legal battle, even if it's just to be that person to talk to. Good luck as you move on to your next duty station, your next job, and your next rank, Kyle! All of us at KML celebrate your success! Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience, and please stay in touch! Don and the KML Team

True Advocate
My journey with King Military Law began when my Navy Reserve Center falsely accused me of committing a crime but failed to notify me until nearly a year had passed after said crime. I was literally looking at losing everything I had ever worked towards the 16 years I had spent in the military to incl...
Wow! Thanks, Olivia. Not only did you have to go through this horrendous experience, but you re-lived it here in this review. We sure appreciate that since our goal is to help Servicemembers like you who are wrongly accused of crimes by the military and desperately need help. We hope that your review will help us help them as well. And what a case yours was! We’ve had a lot of hard-fought battles here at KML, but the complexity of your case (reserve issues, security clearance issues, legal issues, command avoidance, logistical hurdles etc., etc.) was definitely unique. As a result, the entire team here at KML jumped into it with gusto. BTW, thanks so much for recognizing Kasheta, Angela, and Ashley! I often get the credit on these pages, but it’s a team effort, and those ladies are hardworking, caring, and as dedicated to our clients as I could ever be! I’m sure your comments will make their day! And we're so glad that you WON COMPLETELY, and this is now behind you. You didn’t deserve this, and we were all inspired by the way you endured it professionally, calmly, and with hope. While the Navy tried to paint you as a criminal, never forget the senior juror’s words after finding you not guilty: “We believe you, we think you’re an important asset to the Navy, and we hope you will stay with us.” That’s some high praise, and you deserved every bit of it. Forget about what the Navy prosecutor tried to paint you as. Again, thanks so much for trusting us with this crazy, scary, important legal fight, Olivia. Being in your corner was an absolute honor, and we look forward to watching you go on to great things! Stay in touch! -Don and the entire KML team-

Hands down best lawyer for navy legal representation
Don is absolutely amazing, I cannot thank him enough for how much he helped me out with my case. He knows the Navy legal system inside out and has a ton of experience. If it weren’t for him I would have never been reinstated. My chain of command literally tried to rail road me, twist my story, and ev...
Hey, B. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience with all of us at KingMilitaryLaw.com! It's true that Navy commanders have a great deal of authority and very little incentive to correct their errors. As a result, even other lawyers feel like they can't give Sailors any hope. But there IS hope, you just have to fight for it and that's why all of us here at KML do this type of work. We're retired military, parents of current military, and we have LOTs of experience fighting--and winning. And when we do so, it makes us as happy as our clients to get them what they deserve--in your case avoiding a separation for high-year tenure that you didn't deserve. Thanks so much for reaching out and we wish you, your wonderful wife, and your little one the best of luck as you continue your career. Please invite us to your promotion to Chief, which I'm sure will happen soon!
"I've known Don for over 25 years. He is a dedicated and aggressive lawyer for his clients. He is fair and thoroughly prepared for any situation. His knowledge of military and administrative law is voluminous."
"Don King is AGGRESSIVE and EXPERIENCED, and just the lawyer you need for a military legal matter. I have known him for almost 25 years and have worked with him on a number of legal cases over the years. Hire him now!"
