My GO-TO Attorney!

Brit has been an amazing attorney for me, my family and friends. Always very accessible. Her knowledge of not only the law, but of many of the local courts (judges, DA's and attorneys) is invaluable. She has represented my interests in cases favorably 100% of the time, thus why she's my GO-TO attor...ney. Highly recommend as I have to other friends who have had the same experience as me.

Simply Perfect!

Let's be honest, in a perfect world, we would never have needed a defense attorney. Unfortunately, our son has made choices that required us to first seek out an attorney for Minor in Possession and Theft charges. We were truly fortunate to have connections in the law community that led us to Ms. M...ercer. In just our first meeting, we all felt a sense of "this is the right attorney for us" - a sense that has deepened. Ms. Mercer was clearly skilled and quite capable of handling our son's case, but more than that, she exhibited true compassion for our son and for us. When all was said and done, Ms. Mercer was able to secure a very favorable outcome for our son, which we wish had marked the end of our relationship with her. Unfortunately, our son was charged with a much more significant charge, DUI, just as his first case was wrapping up! I actually reached out to Ms. Mercer on Thanksgiving Day, not expecting a response on that date. But, Ms. Mercer responded almost immediately, both to accept the case, but more significantly to inquire about our son's physical well-being and our emotional well-being. It was extraordinary! Over the course of waiting for action by the court, our son finally recognized that he needed help. I reached out to Ms. Mercer simply to notify her that our son may be going into treatment and to determine the ramifications from a legal standpoint. Ms. Mercer said "the case is secondary to your son's well-being - do what is needed, I will take care of the case." Again, extraordinary! She also provided us with the name of a person who helps families find the best treatment options. We reached out and that person was invaluable. As with the first case, Ms. Mercer was able to secure a very favorable outcome for our son. Thanks to our son's recognition that he needed help and Ms. Mercer's recommendation, our son is on his way to a healthy life. My husband, my son and I will forever be grateful for Ms. Mercer, both as an attorney and as a person.

Touchy Legal Case Dismissed

I had a misunderstanding with some government legal forms. Evidently I filled out the forms incorrectly, and all of a sudden, I was informed through the court system that I now have a legal problem. I connected with Briteney Mercer, and couldn't have been happier. All of this happened during the... Covid lockdown, so we talked on the phone and e-mail, and she guided me through the sequence of events that would play out. She was very professional & knowledgeable, attentive & a great listener to what my issue was. She immediately put my mind at ease about the legal processes and expertly explained the sequence of events that was going to play out. She got my case Dismissed, without incident, and that was a tremendous relief to me. I would recommend Briteney to anyone needing legal help. She was excellent.

Kind, No-nonsense Help

I was arrested for a hit and run that I did not think I committed. The experience of being arrested created a kind of identity vertigo -- I had always thought if arrested it would be for a protest of some kind, not an act of presumed cowardice. Brit returned my call as she was getting on an airplan...e and her kindness and clear competence immediately gave me both hope and grounded me in reality of my situation. When we met, she quickly grasped the situation, prepared and then delivered on a successful legal strategy that was built on integrity, a firm mastery of the law and strong relationships within the local justice system. I wish everyone who needed help in the justice system could have as fine a lawyer as I felt blessed to have in Brit. Five stars is not enough.

Charges Dismissed..!!

We hired Brit to help with charges against my daughter. Brit was able to have the charges "reinstated" even after time had elapsed that would make those charges stick. Brit negotiated with the DA's office and convinced them to not close the cases, and penalize my daughter. The cases were misdemeanors..., and after Brit represented us in court, she was able to reinstate the original probation terms and after 6 months of adherence to the judge's orders my daughters charges were dismissed...!!! Brit did a fantastic job representing us, and was on top of the entire situation...!! If ever I need a defense attorney again in King County, Brit will be the VERY first person I will call...!!
