Megan Marie Dunn

Megan at Fury Duarte adjudicated a misdemeanor case for me in July. I called for representation and I was seen by Megan in two days. When I called I was able to talk to Megan or she called me back in a timely manner. She listened intently and quickly grasped the case. She gathered the information and... wrote a compelling E-mail to prosecution to not pursue any formal punishment. Prosecution agreed and the judge went with his motion and the case went away. If I had gone with the public defender my case probably would have gone differently. The price was fair and well worth it. I had a DUI charge against me with a possible hit and run. I found Callahan Law and also read the reviews which were very helpful when i had to decide who i wanted to help me. Megan was my attorney and i couldnt have been more appreciative with all of her hard work. I first met with her in the Seattl...e office location and she reviewed some things with me on how the DUI process is handled. I had multiple court dates to attend and Megan was very well spoken and reassured me that i would be okay. My mom really liked her and could tell that she was tough and collected each time we had to approach the front of the court. She helped me bring down some of the costs and got the hit and run charge dismissed. My BAC level was very high at a .196 i believe and she also got it down to a NO TEST. Today was my final court date for sentencing and Megan spoke to the judge on my behalf. She said some really kind things about me and who i am. When you're accused of an infraction that you know you didn't commit, you feel vulnerable... powerless. The city is salivating at the opportunity to drop the heavy hand of the law upon you... to take your money, and your dignity.. but you know in the depths of your soul that you're innocent. That's... what happened to me. I was cited in the City of Seattle for "texting while driving". Seems simple enough, we all make mistakes, right? However.. I wasn't texting and driving. Not even close. And I had the phone records from T-Mobile to prove it! I needed a fighter in my corner, a real heavy hitter. I wanted justice. If I'm being honest, I would have paid many times the cost of the ticket in order to have my name cleared. It's the principle of the matter. That's where Megan came in. She saw through the city's B.S. right away. She contacted the prosecuting attorney and showed him the absurdity of the situation. Without ever having to appear in court myself, the case was dismissed. I can't express enough how courteous and professional Megan was throughout this process. In fact, she doesn't even take small fry cases like this, she usually works on real deal criminal cases, but she saw how important this was to me and made a special exception. I can't thank her enough.

My case was a little unique and I was very fortunate to find Ms. Powers to help me. I was unfairly towed in the city of Seattle when the meter maids put up signs without providing enough notice. Suddenly my car was in a tow zone overnight! The tow was over $250 bucks and they wanted another $44 dolla...rs for the ticket. Very few attorneys handle parking tickets, so I was concerned about finding representation. Fortunately, Ms. Powers made an exception to her usual practice areas and decided to take my case. I am forever grateful for that. Not only was she well prepared, but she was able to appear on my behalf and handle everything for me. She got the ticket dismissed, which was great, but the crown jewel of her assistance was she got my towing fee reimbursed! Thanks to Ms. Powers, I just deposited a check for over $250 from the City of Seattle! Ms. Powers not only beat the ticket, she made City Hall cough up the money to make me whole. I am beyond satisfied with the result in my case.
