I had a DUI charge against me with a possible hit and run. I found Callahan Law and also read the reviews which were very helpful when i had to decide who i wanted to help me. Megan was my attorney and i couldnt have been more appreciative with all of her hard work. I first met with her in the Seattl...e office location and she reviewed some things with me on how the DUI process is handled. I had multiple court dates to attend and Megan was very well spoken and reassured me that i would be okay. My mom really liked her and could tell that she was tough and collected each time we had to approach the front of the court. She helped me bring down some of the costs and got the hit and run charge dismissed. My BAC level was very high at a .196 i believe and she also got it down to a NO TEST. Today was my final court date for sentencing and Megan spoke to the judge on my behalf. She said some really kind things about me and who i am. So if you're looking for someone to represent you Callahan Law is a great choice and Megan was fantastic.

From the beginning of contacting Callahan law they did a full consultation with me over the phone without mentioning money. When you're accused of an infraction that you know you didn't commit, you feel vulnerable... powerless. The city is salivating at the opportunity to drop the heavy hand of the law upon you... to take your money, and your dignity.. but you know in the depths of your soul that you're innocent. That's... what happened to me. I was cited in the City of Seattle for "texting while driving". Seems simple enough, we all make mistakes, right? However.. I wasn't texting and driving. Not even close. And I had the phone records from T-Mobile to prove it! I needed a fighter in my corner, a real heavy hitter. I wanted justice. If I'm being honest, I would have paid many times the cost of the ticket in order to have my name cleared. It's the principle of the matter. That's where Megan came in. She saw through the city's B.S. right away. She contacted the prosecuting attorney and showed him the absurdity of the situation. Without ever having to appear in court myself, the case was dismissed. I can't express enough how courteous and professional Megan was throughout this process. In fact, she doesn't even take small fry cases like this, she usually works on real deal criminal cases, but she saw how important this was to me and made a special exception. I can't thank her enough.

This was my third DUI (plus a charge of Reckless and Failure to Obey) so I knew I was facing some pretty serious consequences. I met with Megan the week of the incident and she got the ball rolling immediately. She encouraged me to get into treatment right away and reassured me that we would get thro...ugh this together. I had confidence in her from the beginning and she never let me down. She was always available to me by cell or email and the excellent support staff in her office kept me on top of everything as well. I know my review should focus on her legal expertise (which was outstanding) but for me, the most important part was the sense of calm I had knowing that while I was taking care of myself in recovery, she had my back in EVERYTHING court-related and that was HUGE for me and my husband!! She was my voice and advocate to the prosecuting attorney and the judge. She got me released from random court UA’s because I was already having them done in treatment and it took me 3 buses to get to the courthouse. In addition to the police report, she did in-depth research including review of the 911 call and reviewing personnel files of the arresting officers. She found out what the Department of Licensing would require of me down the road and she outlined what options I had to serve my time. Ultimately, Megan got the Reckless thrown out and I was sentenced to 24 hrs. in jail and an $1,200 fine. Nobody could have asked for a better outcome. So if you’re reading this review because you’ve just gotten a DUI (or other criminal charges), I recommend two things: HIRE MEGAN POWERS (Dunn) because you won’t find a better attorney anywhere and GET SERIOUS about your drinking and be proactive in your recovery so that Megan has a credible client to work with.
