Shawn Kollie focuses on Criminal Defense and Second Amendment Rights across the State of Oregon. Shawn has practiced in almost every county in Oregon and the Federal Courts. Owning his own firm, Kollie Law, in Medford, Oregon. Shawn represents clients with major felony and firearm cases. With a team of talent every case is a ‘team effort’.

Shawn was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Upon graduation from Oregon State University, Shawn attended the University of Oregon School of Law. During his second year of law school, he began working as a law clerk for the Corbridge & Short, in Hillsboro, OR exclusively on criminal and DUII defense matters.

As a third year law student, Shawn interned with the Lane County Public Defender’s Office and upon graduation accepted a position at private criminal defense firm in Portland. Taking on hundreds of cases and many to trial, Shawn trained under former prosecutors and and helped grow that firm. Shawn is certified by NHTSA and IACP to conduct field sobriety tests and uses that knowledge to assist his clients in DMV hearings and DUI trials throughout Oregon. As an NRA Licensed Pistol Instructor, Shawn has assisted in countless Concealed Handgun classes and helped advise a wide range of individuals from, instructing CHL Classes to obtaining and contesting a Federal Firearms License.

After working for over 7 years in Portland, Shawn grew tired of the gray and rain and moved his family to Bend, Oregon in 2016. Most recently, Kollie Law relocated to Medford and manages Oregon Gun Law and Kollie Law, PC. He practices in every county in Oregon.

Shawn is married and the proud father of twin boys. He enjoys spending time with his family, running, hiking, hunting, and shooting.

Shawn Kollie

I hired Shawn after speaking to him about getting my 3 felonies expunged. He's an awesome attorney and got it done for me with lightning speed, all within only 3 months. One thing that I found amazing, was that whenever I called concerning a question of mine, he was ON it within no more than 24 hours, which in my experience with other attorneys that I've had, just is hard to come by. He's an amazing attorney. Bottom line, is that I highly recommend him!

Money well spent

I want to say that I have so much respect and appreciation for Kollie Law. I was so nervous for my case and they helped me every step of the way. I reached out for gun right restoration and they did just that. I have my gun rights back and I am so thankful for them. Thank you a million times Kollie Law, you are changing lives. Shawn was at my hearing and explained exactly why I deserved to have my rights restored. My charges were from Washington state and I currently reside in Oregon. Great Lawyer

Shawn helped me with a complicated gun restoration case and really went above and beyond in seeing it completed. Despite deliberate obstruction and misinformation coming out of Salem and the FBI he calmly and methodically persisted to our desired outcome. For the flat fee he charged I am amazed at the time and dedication I received.

Amazing job

Did amazing job at removing a felony and a misdemeanor and was able to return my gun rights. I was kept in the loop with everything that was going on and never really kept wondering what was going on. Most definitely recommend and all ready have.

Set aside conviction

I can't truly explain in enough words how happy I am with Mr. Kollie, and his staff, I live out of state, he was able to get conviction overturned without me having to travel 2000 miles, he stayed in contact, and kept me informed on everything, any time I called, or emailed, he quickly responded, very impressed, I truly thought this was an impossible outcome. I would 100% recommend his office, and will keep him on speed dial.

Restoring your RIGHTS

Some time ago when I was young and inexperienced with life I made some poor decisions. Fast forward 10 years and I have completely turned it around. Part of this journey included restoring my rights that I foolishly lost. I noticed an add in the Oregon Hunting Regulation book that could help me restore my rights and I thought "what they heck it cant hurt to send him a message". 5 minutes later I was talking to the man himself, Shawn Kollie! Shawn was a breath of fresh air! Most lawyers I spoke to about my case simply couldn't help me or put the pieces to the puzzle together. Shawn was very patient with the whole process and he helped me understand all the details needed for my case to succeed. All in all it took maybe 45 days? I was very surprised at how quickly him and his team were able to turn this around. I can't thank him enough for the weight he has lifted off my shoulders. The past can TRULY be the past. Fantastic representation

Way above average

I have worked with several lawyers and used Mr.Kollie and it was one of the best experiences using a lawyer I have ever encountered. He kept me informed of all the particulars and in front of t he judge he was very confident and knew codes and citations better than the judge. As the judge was talking and pointing out why we could not accomplish what we wanted. Well within minutes Mr. Mollie confidently explained why we could accomplish out tasks. And within a few moments the judge granted us our wish. I truly believe if I had not had Mr. Mollie I know the outcome wouldd have been differently.. I recommend him for your needs.

Restoration of gun rights

Shawn was extremely knowledgeable in this field. IO witnessed other attorneys fudge their way through the case and end up with issues. This was absolutely not the case with Shawn. He had prepared before the case all needed documenation removing any delays. I would highly recommend him for any case regarding firearms rights. He answered all my questions before the case and has continued to do so even after the case was completed. He went so far as to prepare my documentation for purchase pre-approval.

Very professional effective attorney practicing in an excellent legal firm

Mr. Kollie handled a fairly complicated Second Amendment issue for me in Multnomah County Circuit Court in an experienced, straightforward, and professional manner. He informed me of the process, what would happen, how long it would take, and the comprehensive expensive. It went exactly as Mr. Kollie said it would and ended successfully in my favor.
