I hired a large family law firm to modify my existing parenting plan to address concerns about safety. I was willing to pay higher fees to get the benefit of their combined experience with situations like mine but, more importantly, I needed to quickly address the current concerns and avoid future li...tigation. 4 months later I left that firm in tears, without my $5,000 retainer, completely confused about the status of my case and with no clear plan forward. I will be forever grateful to Jill and her staff for taking my frantic call, listening to my experience, and meeting with me the next day. Jill came into our first meeting with her laptop (and a box of tissues) and listened. By the time our meeting ended Jill had nailed down the status of my case, taken immediate action to make progress with the court, and recommended a resource that the other firm had never offered. For the first time, I felt like I had a team behind me and a plan for how to move forward. The journey with has not been without challenges though. I am up against an attorney whose bio says she, “prepares for every case as if it were going to trial” in other words… refuses to compromise to run up the legal fees until the other party runs out of money and must settle. On top of that, Covid-19 has repeatedly delayed our trial dates. Even so, I am confident that my case is progressing as well as it could, and I am getting updated as soon as she is. Jill has always left it to me make the decision to go forward or stop and understood that her fees are part of the decision. I had 4 months of invoices from the large law firm to compare to the billings from Jill. The first thing I noticed was that Jill relies on her staff to do the work that doesn’t require her expertise. That way of delegating dramatically cut the total in half without compromising the speed or quality of the work. The invoices are easy to understand and I’ve never questioned an item... which is critically important in my case because it's been delayed so many times. I hope I never need to use Jill or her staff again but, if I do, I’m certain they can make the best of it. They are also a super fun group, and everybody needs more of that.

Over 2.5 years as my counsel during my divorce, Ms. Brittle understood all the issues, was solution based, and overcame some irregular behavior by opposing counsel calmly but with firmness and grit. She is thorough, well prepared, listened to my views, and prevailed on almost 100% of opposing coun...sel motions. Her clients also benefit from her track record with various judges in Washington and Clackamas County, as she clearly has their respect in the courtroom. I admire how efficient she is with her time, and its reflected in her very reasonable bills given all that's involved. I would very highly recommend her to anyone needing Family Law services, and I already have referred a couple folks myself.

Jill was able to assist me with a strategy, organizing my priorities, and fought hard every step of the way to create a better custody situation for my family. Jill is quick on her feet, a...nd takes a firm stance with opposing attorneys. Jill was also willing to be firm with me when necessary, helping me to understand the best way forward in a really difficult situation. I could not recommend Jill more as your advocate in a custody situation.

Jill has been my attorney for a number of years through a very difficult custody matter, and I cannot imagine navigating through this process without her as my attorney.
