To give a little background, this was a landlord tenant eviction process I (the landlord) was pursuing and dealing with a very difficult tenant. I did not by any means give him an easy task. When handling my eviction process he was extremely understanding, thorough, detailed and very nerve calming.... He effortlessly handled my case with ease and turned a very difficult and stressful scenario into a defused, resolved court order from a judge. He communicated every step of the process and answered all of my questions quickly. He is a Veteran just as I am, and even on Veterans Day he still responded to my much needed questions. I had used Pete for a Tenant issue several years ago with great success. Pretty cut and dried - probably because I hired him to start with. When the COVID-19 Renters Moratorium hit, just days after our eviction order was signed - our nightmare began. Pete handled this from the beginning - doing an... excellent job - but things went sideways with this new law. I could not have asked for a more professional job. We finally were able to close the case - tenants out. Pete - from the beginning - outlined the cost as the case moves along - with all the different variables, so there are no surprises when you get the invoice. I was going thru a horrible eviction process on my own and wasn't getting anywhere, Pete Meyers was refereed to me by another attorney and calling him was the best thing I had done thru the entire process. Once I hired him there was absolutely no stress on my part from start to finish. He also got it... done efficiently and was very effective. I was recommended to Pete Meyers by another rental Lawyer who said that Pete was well versed with the new Landlord Tenant laws in Oregon where my incident occurred. I came to him with a demand letter from my residency of 12 years for quite a bit more than my original damage deposit. Pete and I revie...wed the letter as well as my paperwork from the beginning of my residency and determined I was indeed owed my damage deposit back. I contracted with Pete to write a demand letter for me, to be sent to the property management company I was dealing with. This letter was enough to spur them to discussion and a suitable resolution.
