Pete Meyers

Had difficulties with a tenant at our rental, had tried to resolve on my own but got to a place where I didn't have a choice other than litigation. I went to the County's Court page and read through how to file a case and was confused and frustrated at how it was laid out. I was referred to Pete Meye...rs through another real estate law professional who added that in the state of OR, he was the best. When I reached Pete and explained my situation, he confidently stated that we had a case and he would draw up and file the needed paperwork. Within two weeks we had our court date and two weeks after that my tenant was out and the property was back in our hands. Can't say enough about how Pete's knowledge and understanding resolved a very frustrating and tough situation for us!

Pete was very helpful with a situation we had as landlords and our property management company. Our tenants were great but the property management company neglected to write our lease contract properly. The tenants were due a relocation fee due to this contract being written poorly. The property mana...gement said we were liable for this fee but we felt they were since we had expressed our intention to move back into our house. Pete was able to take all the information and emails between us and the management company, and confirm that they were in fact liable for the relocation fee and not us. He helped us determine their negligence and help us confirm that we were in fact in the right. We had paid for his hour consultation and was able to move forward with the knowledge he had given us.

I was recommended to Pete Meyers by another rental Lawyer who said that Pete was well versed with the new Landlord Tenant laws in Oregon where my incident occurred. I came to him with a demand letter from my residency of 12 years for quite a bit more than my original damage deposit. Pete and I revie...wed the letter as well as my paperwork from the beginning of my residency and determined I was indeed owed my damage deposit back. I contracted with Pete to write a demand letter for me, to be sent to the property management company I was dealing with. This letter was enough to spur them to discussion and a suitable resolution. Pete was a pleasure to work with and he was well versed in the Oregon Landlord Tenant law. I would be happy to work with him again if I need to in the future.

I hired Pete to help me with a legal action against a former tenant who trashed my house. Although I didn't get full damages, my goal was to get an amount of money so that I could let it go and move on without feeling angry about it and he accomplished that. Pet would tell me realistically what to ex...pect and let me decide the course of action that was right for me. I hope I do not have a similar situation arise, but if I do, I will certainly retain his services again.

Mr. Meyers did an outstanding job for me and my family. We were evicted without cause, and Pete was aware of the latest legal precedents, worked diligently, interacted continually with me, and the landlord, and the end result was an excellent settlement in a very short period of time. I cannot recomm...end Pete more highly. On top of it, all Pete was very personable, and we enjoyed a celebratory lunch!
