Great Attorney

The firm of Thummel and Uhle was recommended to me by a family friend who works in the criminal justice system. I contacted the firm and Ben was able to meet with me and appear in court with me that same day. From the beginning it was clear that Ben knew what he was doing. He understood the laws i...nvolved and the court procedure, and he was familiar with the judges and prosecutors. He explained the situation in a way that made me feel confident in his abilities and alleviated some of my stress. As the case went forward Ben was a tireless advocate. It was clear that he was working hard on my case. He didn’t cut any corners. He worked to negotiate with the prosecutors to achieve a favorable result without trial. We decided to take the case to trial and he was very prepared by the time trial came around. He did an excellent job from jury selection to closing argument. When it came to important decisions like whether to have a jury trial or a judge and whether I should testify, he made sure that I had all of the information I needed to make a smart choice and he advised me on what he thought would be the wisest options, but he also left the final decisions to me, which I appreciated. In the end, the jury came back with a not guilty verdict. I felt very fortunate to have Ben as my attorney. He is smart, dedicated, and was very persuasive with the jury. I could not have asked for a better lawyer for my case.

Superb Legal Council

I have used business lawyers a lot over the years and also had a few criminal defense lawyers. When I was arrested for a felony DUII, I knew that I needed a good lawyer. My previous defense lawyers did not spend much time working on my case and encouraged me to plead guilty. I asked around to ...friends in the legal profession and was directed to Ben Eder at the law offices of Thuemmel and Uhle in downtown Portland OR. From the beginning it was clear that Ben knew what he was talking about. He explained carefully the various aspects of the case, and above all the need for a jury trial. The prosecutor offered a plea of 13 months prison. It was obvious that Ben is an organized researcher and his preparation was right to the letter. He met with me several times, went to the area where I was stopped to take pictures, interviewed a witness, filed a motion to suppress and prepared the case for trial. The thing that was most apparent to me, and most impressive was not only the process of jury selection, but also the way Ben addressed the jury members - explaining the process of the trial. Whereas the prosecutor was frequently and obviously boring the jury, the minute Ben spoke every one was paying rapt attention. He is definitely a gifted communicator. After a two day trial, I was found not guilty of DUII and I came away from the experience very grateful that I had found superb legal council in Ben Eder. Portland Oregon

Highly Recommend

After a string of unfortunate events, I was feeling very stressed. After my first conversation with Ben I felt an immediate sense of relief. Ben is extremely knowledgable, patient, and trustworthy. He always made sure I understood any and all information and I always felt comfortable contacting him o...r asking him to clarify. I was well informed of any and all outcomes and felt confident with Ben representing me.

Overall Best Attorney Experience EVER

Ben Eder followed through with me. Kept me informed. SUPER trustworthy. So knowledgable it was scary. This attorney fought with me, for me, and I could not of asked for anything more!!! He had faith in me and was willing to follow through. It was a stressful time in my life and he helped me throu...gh it. I could not be anymore excited about my case and how it ended. Not Guilty. I hope anyone that reads this understands that I am Truly Sincere and this guy is the MAN!!!
