I do not recommend
I would not recommend Heather Unger for family law. As others have shared, she is not able to speak in a professional manner. It is also my impression that her own beliefs and past negative experiences with relationships do not allow her to perform appropriately in the areas of family law. She seems ...

After 8 years I can tell you she is a bad lawyer. She won't win your case
Heather has been difficult to work with since day 1. My son is 18 now and I am no longer scared of her tactics. I was sued for custody due to tardies at school - litterally and she couldn't win the case. She over charges. Recently my ex wanted to rehash college payments and Heather charged me $140...

While I won't go into the details of your case, I will state that it is clear this was motivated by my attempts to get you to pay me for legal services that you continue to request from me, sometimes after years of not actively working together. You had plenty of opportunities to find a different attorney over those year. All that said, I really do wish you and your family the best!

Not a good lawyer
Heather was hired for my case to help out in which she did not. She made false accusations that were not true to my case. She does not know how to talk to her clients respectfully or professionally. I would not recommend her to anyone.

Not Recommended
Hired for divorce. Heather listens but does not come up with solutions. She is defensive when you express concern over your case and the handling of it. She charged me to correct mistakes she made with no apology. I would not recommend Heather.

There's at least one kind and caring lawyer in the world!
I didn't know my husband was leaving me until I woke up one morning to see him moving out. I was in a panic, alone, unemployed, and with minimal funds. Heather was compassionate and took good care of my emotional issues as well as my legal/financial issues. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
