Relationship: Worked together on matter
I had the pleasure of meeting Michael at the NHTSA Instructor Course this spring, in Irvine Ca. Any attorney who can complete AND pass the 4 day NHTSA Instructor Course for Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and DUI Enforcement, is at the very top of his or her profession. Being a qualified instructor on DUI enforcement and standardized field sobriety tests give Michael the unique ability to prove to judges, prosecutors and jurors that his client is not under the influence, and therefore not guilty of the charged crime. I would unequivocally hire Michael if I was charged with a crime in Oregon.
Peter Iocona, DUI and DWI Attorney on May 31, 2011
Relationship: Other
Receiving recommendations from attorneys in other jurisdictions is often considered suspect by those searching for attorneys; thus, I rarely provide them unless I feel the attorney deserves industry recognition for his/her attendance in a DUI educational program, such as the one where I met Michael Romano. Mr. Romano and I met at a NHTSA Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) Instructor’s Course, which is an achievement shared by a relatively small number of DUI attorneys nationwide. Many DUI attorneys are content with having attended and completed the NHTSA SFST Student Course, which, while adequate, pales in comparison to when a DUI practitioner becomes a NHTSA SFST Instructor. Such an achievement shows a level of commitment to the field of DUI defense that cannot be said to be had by all. It demonstrates that the DUI practitioner is committed to DUI defense. Mr. Romano possesses this character trait and as such, I would highly recommend him as your DUI defense attorney.

In May 2011, Michael and I attended National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) DWI Detection & Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) Instructor Training in Irvine California. Mike showed to me that he is a dedicated, thorough, focused and intelligent practitioner who wants to gain every ounce of knowledge and skill to afford his clients the best possible DWI/DUI Defense representation. If you want someone who does not just “talk a good gameâ€, I would recommend Mike.

Michael Romano is certainly amongst this group. He is continually striving to be the very best DUI defense attorney that he can be. An accused citizen that has Michael Romano as her attorney can take great comfort in the fact that she is in very good hands.

Michael is an attorney who continues to impress. He goes the extra mile for his clients. He understands what it takes to be one of the best. HIs membership in the National College for DUI Defense speaks volumes. This is the premiere DUI defense group in the ocuntry. He continues to educate himself for his clients' defense. Very few lawyers understand what it takes to adequately defend a DUI. It is perhaps the most complex area of criminal law and Michael does not hesitate to learn by attending seminars that offer the most advanced bases of knowledge.(as you can see by reading his resume) I would not hesitate to recommend Michael to anyone in need of the best.
